حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ التُّرْكِيُّ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبِرَكِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ السَّمَّاكُ، ثنا عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: اجْتَمَعَ عِيدَانِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمُ فِطْرٍ، وَجُمْعَهٌ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْعِيدِ , ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ خَيْرًا وَأَجْرًا، وَإِنَّا مُجْمِعُونَ فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُجْمِعَ مَعَنَا فَلْيُجْمِعْ، وَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَلْيَرْجِعْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Two Eids coincided in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Eid al-Fitr and Friday. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in the Eid prayer, then turned his face towards them and said: "O people! You have attained good and reward, and we are going to hold the Friday prayer. So whoever wishes to join us in the Friday prayer, let him do so, and whoever wishes to return to his family, let him go."
