حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الْمُطَرِّزُ، ثنا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ صَالِحُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَشَهِدْتَ بَيْعَةَ الرِّضْوَانِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قُلْتُ: فَمَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ؟ قَالَ: «قَمِيصٌ مِنْ قُطْنٍ وَجُبَّةٌ مَحْشُوَّةٌ، وَرِدَاءٌ وَسَيْفٌ، وَرَأَيْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ مُقَرِّنٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ قَائِمًا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ قَدْ رَفَعَ أَغْصَانَ الشَّجَرَةِ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ، وَالنَّاسُ يُبَايِعُونَهُ»
Ata bin Abi Rabah said: I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): Were you present at the Pledge of Ridwan with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Yes. I asked: What was he (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing? He said: "A cotton shirt and a padded cloak, an upper wrap and a sword. And I saw al-Nu'man bin Muqarrin al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) standing by his (peace and blessings be upon him) head, lifting the branches of the tree away from his (peace and blessings be upon him) head, while the people were pledging allegiance to him (peace and blessings be upon him)."
