Chapter on the explanation of Surah Al-Baqarah. [His saying, the Exalted: "Alif Lam Meem. This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah. Who believe in the unseen..."]

7 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {خَتَمَ اللهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ}

His saying, the Exalted: "Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil"

8 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَكَادُ الْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ}

His saying, the Exalted: "The lightning almost snatches away their sight"

9 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالُوا أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَنْ يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "They said, 'Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?' He said, 'Indeed, I know that which you do not know.'"

10 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلَمَّا أَنْبَأَهُمْ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكُمْ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And when He had informed them of their names, He said, 'Did I not tell you that I know the unseen of the heavens and the earth and I know what you reveal and what you have concealed?'"

11 [ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَتَلَقَّى آدَمُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ}

His saying, the Exalted: "Then Adam received from his Lord words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful."

12 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى وَاسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And when We said to the angels, 'Prostrate to Adam,' and they prostrated, except for Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers."

13 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَكُلا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلا تَقْرَبَا هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ * فَأَزَلَّهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيهِ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And We said, 'O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.' But Satan caused them to slip from it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been..."

14 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah]"

15 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّائِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا}

His saying, the Exalted: "So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs, its cucumbers, its garlic, its lentils, and its onions..."

16 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ صَفْرَاءُ فَاقِعٌ لَوْنُهَا تَسُرُّ النَّاظِرِينَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "He said, 'He says, it is a yellow cow, bright in color—pleasing to the observers.'"

17 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا مَا هِيَ إِنَّ الْبَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "They said, 'Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is. Indeed, [all] cows look alike to us. And indeed we, if Allah wills, will be guided.'"

18 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقُولُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا}

His saying, the Exalted: "And speak to people good [words]"

19 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ يَأْتُوكُمْ أُسَارَى تُفَادُوهُمْ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them..."

20 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And We supported him with the Pure Spirit"

21 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَنْ يُعَمَّرَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And among those who associate others with Allah, some wish they could live a thousand years, but it would not remove them from the punishment even if they lived that long."

22 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَنْ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِلهِ وَمَلائِكَتِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَالَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَدُوٌّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael—then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers."

23 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُو الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنْـزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلا تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُمْ بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And they followed what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But they do not teach anyone unless they say, 'We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic].' And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah..."

5 hadith (203 — 207)

24 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَا نَنْسَخْ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَوْ نُنْسِهَا نَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ مِنْهَا أَوْ مِثْلِهَا}

His saying, the Exalted: "Whatever verse We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it..."

25 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ}

His saying, the Exalted: "And to Allah belongs the east and the west. So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face of Allah. Indeed, Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing."

26 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلاوَتِهِ أُولَئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ}

His saying, the Exalted: "Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it..."

27 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ}

His saying, the Exalted: "My covenant does not include the wrongdoers"

28 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى}

His saying, the Exalted: "And take the standing place of Abraham as a place of prayer"

29 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَنْ طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stay for worship and those who bow and prostrate."}

30 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا بَلَدًا آمِنًا وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ مَنْ آمَنَ مِنْهُمْ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ قَالَ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُ قَلِيلا ثُمَّ أَضْطَرُّهُ إِلَى عَذَابِ النَّارِ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits—whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day." He said, "And whoever disbelieves—I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination."}

31 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing."}

32 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُسْلِمَةً لَكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Our Lord, make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim [in submission] nation to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.}

33 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُولُوا آمَنَّا بِاللهِ وَمَا أُنْـزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْـزِلَ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأَسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى وَعِيسَى وَمَا أُوتِيَ النَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ لا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Say, "We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."}

34 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And thus We have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you.}

35 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كَانَ اللهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ * قَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And Allah would not let your faith go to waste. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful. * We have certainly seen the turning of your face, [O Muhammad], toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a qiblah with which you will be pleased. So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it [in prayer].}

5 hadith (223 — 227)

36 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ أَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُوا يَأْتِ بِكُمُ اللهُ جَمِيعًا إِنَّ اللهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And for all is a direction toward which he turns. So race to [all that is] good. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you forth [for judgment] all together. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.}

37 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلا تَكْفُرُونِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.}

2 hadith (229 — 230)

38 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاةِ إِنَّ اللهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.}

2 hadith (231 — 232)

39 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.}

40 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs Umrah—there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good—then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.}

41 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللاعِنُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And the cursers will curse them.}

42 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ * إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنْفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَا أَنْـزَلَ اللهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ لآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And your god is one God. There is no deity except Him, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. * Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.}

43 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الأَسْبَابُ

His saying, Exalted is He: {And all means have been cut off from them.}

2 hadith (240 — 241)

44 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And do not follow the footsteps of Satan.}

45 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلا عَادٍ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {But whoever is forced by necessity, neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him.}

46 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَا أَصْبَرَهُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {How patient they are over the Fire!}

47 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَالسَّائِلِينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves.}

48 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِصَاصُ فِي الْقَتْلَى الْحُرُّ بِالْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدُ بِالْعَبْدِ وَالأُنْثَى بِالأُنْثَى فَمَنْ عُفِيَ لَهُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ شَيْءٌ فَاتِّبَاعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَأَدَاءٌ إِلَيْهِ بِإِحْسَانٍ ذَلِكَ تَخْفِيفٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, prescribed for you is legal retribution for those murdered—the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoever overlooks from his brother anything, then there should be a suitable follow-up and payment to him with good conduct. This is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy. But whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment.}

49 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ إِنْ تَرَكَ خَيْرًا الْوَصِيَّةُ لِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأَقْرَبِينَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Prescribed for you when death approaches [any] one of you if he leaves wealth is that he should make a bequest for the parents and near relatives according to what is acceptable—a duty upon the righteous.}

50 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنْ خَافَ مِنْ مُوصٍ جَنَفًا أَوْ إِثْمًا فَأَصْلَحَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {But if one fears from the bequeather [some] error or sin and makes peace between them, there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.}

His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you.}

His saying, Exalted is He: {It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations].}

56 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the night.}

57 [قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالبَاطِلِ وَتُدْلُوا بِهَا إِلَى الحُكَّامِ لِتَأْكُلُوا فَرِيقًا مِنْ أَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ بِالإِثْمِ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ}]

His saying, Exalted is He: {And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers in order that [they might aid] you [to] consume a portion of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know [it is unlawful].}

58 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَيْسَ الْبِرُّ بِأَنْ تَأْتُوا الْبُيُوتَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهَا}

His saying, Exalted is He: {But righteousness is [in] one who fears Allah. And enter houses from their doors.}

59 [قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلَّهِ}]

His saying, Exalted is He: {And fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah.}

60 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلهِ فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ وَلا تَحْلِقُوا رُءُوسَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْهَدْيُ مَحِلَّهُ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِنْ صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَإِذَا أَمِنْتُمْ فَمَنْ تَمَتَّعَ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِي الْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting or charity or sacrifice. And when you are secure, then whoever performs 'umrah [during the Hajj months] followed by Hajj [offers] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. But whoever cannot find [or afford such an animal]—then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned [home].}

61 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Hajj is [during] well-known months.}

62 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلا رَفَثَ وَلا فُسُوقَ وَلا جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {So whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj.}

11 hadith (335 — 345)

63 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُولِي الأَلْبَابِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allah. So fear Me, O you of understanding.}

64 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord.}

65 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ عِنْدَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And remember Allah at al-Mash'ar al-Haram.}

66 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَاتٍ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And remember Allah during [specific] numbered days.}

67 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And whoever hastens [his departure] in two days—there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays—there is no sin upon him—for him who fears Allah.}

68 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللهَ عَلَى مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And among the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents.}

69 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَكُمْ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you.}

70 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُونَ قُلِ الْعَفْوَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]."}

71 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Your wives are a place of sowing for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish.}

5 hadith (366 — 370)

72 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا تَجْعَلُوا اللهَ عُرْضَةً لأَيْمَانِكُمْ أَنْ تَبَرُّوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَتُصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَاللهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And do not make [your oath by] Allah an excuse against being righteous and fearing Allah and making peace among people. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.}

4 hadith (371 — 374)

73 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لِلَّذِينَ يُؤْلُونَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ فَإِنْ فَاءُوا فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ * وَإِنْ عَزَمُوا الطَّلاقَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

His saying, Exalted is He: {For those who swear not to have sexual relations with their wives is a waiting time of four months; but if they return [to normal relations]—then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. * But if they decide on divorce—then indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.}

2 hadith (375 — 376)

74 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا عَرَّضْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْ خِطْبَةِ النِّسَاءِ أَوْ أَكْنَنْتُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَلِمَ اللهُ أَنَّكُمْ سَتَذْكُرُونَهُنَّ وَلَكِنْ لا تُوَاعِدُوهُنَّ سِرًّا إِلا أَنْ تَقُولُوا قَوْلا مَعْرُوفًا}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And there is no blame upon you for that to which you [indirectly] allude concerning a proposal to women or for what you conceal within yourselves. Allah knows that you will have them in mind. But do not promise them secretly except for saying a proper saying.}

8 hadith (377 — 384)

75 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ وَقَدْ فَرَضْتُمْ لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً فَنِصْفُ مَا فَرَضْتُمْ إِلا أَنْ يَعْفُونَ أَوْ يَعْفُوَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِ وَأَنْ تَعْفُوا أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And if you divorce them before you have touched them and you have already specified for them an obligation, then [give] half of what you specified—unless they forgo the right or the one in whose hand is the marriage contract forgoes it. And to forgo it is nearer to righteousness.}

7 hadith (385 — 391)

76 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقُومُوا لِلهِ قَانِتِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient.}

17 hadith (392 — 408)

77 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ فَرِجَالًا أَوْ رُكْبَانًا فَإِذَا أَمِنْتُمْ فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ كَمَا عَلَّمَكُمْ مَا لَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْلَمُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And if you fear [an enemy], then [pray] on foot or riding. But when you are secure, remember Allah as He has taught you that which you did not [previously] know.}

6 hadith (409 — 414)

78 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجًا وَصِيَّةً لأَزْوَاجِهِمْ مَتَاعًا إِلَى الْحَوْلِ غَيْرَ إِخْرَاجٍ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind—they, [the wives], shall wait four months and ten [days].}

79 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?}

80 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ آيَةَ مُلْكِهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ التَّابُوتُ فِيهِ سَكِينَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِمَّا تَرَكَ آلُ مُوسَى وَآلُ هَارُونَ تَحْمِلُهُ الْمَلائِكَةُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the chest will come to you in which is assurance from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron had left, carried by the angels."}

81 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِلا مَنِ اغْتَرَفَ غُرْفَةً بِيَدِهِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Except for one who scoops [water] with his hand.}

82 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {اللهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلا نَوْمٌ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلا بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Allah—there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.}

83 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {There is no compulsion in religion.}

84 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَدْ تَبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Guidance has become clear from error.}

85 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَوْ كَالَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّى يُحْيِي هَذِهِ اللهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا فَأَمَاتَهُ اللهُ مِائَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Or [consider] such [an example] as the one who passed by a township which had fallen into ruin. He said, "How will Allah bring this to life after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years; then He revived him.} To His saying: {He said, "I know that Allah is over all things competent."}

7 hadith (434 — 440)

86 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي}

His saying, Exalted is He: {He said, "Have you not believed?" He said, "Yes, but [I ask] only that my heart may be satisfied."}

87 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ فَخُذْ أَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ اجْعَلْ عَلَى كُلِّ جَبَلٍ مِنْهُنَّ جُزْءًا ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْتِينَكَ سَعْيًا وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {He said, "Take four birds and commit them to yourself. Then [after slaughtering them] put on each hill a portion of them; then call them—they will come [flying] to you in haste. And know that Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise."}

88 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْفِقُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا كَسَبْتُمْ وَمِمَّا أَخْرَجْنَا لَكُمْ مِنَ الأَرْضِ وَلا تَيَمَّمُوا الْخَبِيثَ مِنْهُ تُنْفِقُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes.}

89 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And whoever is granted wisdom has certainly been given much good.}

90 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَيُكَفِّرُ عَنْكُمْ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And He will remove from you your misdeeds.}

91 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ الرِّبَا لا يَقُومُونَ إِلا كَمَا يَقُومُ الَّذِي يَتَخَبَّطُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنَ الْمَسِّ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {فَلَكُمْ رُءُوسُ أَمْوَالِكُمْ لا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلا تُظْلَمُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity.} To His saying: {But you may have your principal—do not wrong [others] and you will not be wronged.}

2 hadith (450 — 451)

92 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَى مَيْسَرَةٍ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time of] ease.}

3 hadith (452 — 454)

93 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَهِيدَيْنِ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَتَانِ مِمَّنْ تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَاءِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men. And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses.}

94 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَاءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُوا}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And let not the witnesses refuse when they are called.}

95 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا يُضَارَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلا شَهِيدٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And let no scribe be harmed nor any witness.}

96 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا كَاتِبًا فَرِهَانٌ مَقْبُوضَةٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a security deposit should be taken.}

97 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ تُبْدُوا مَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ يُحَاسِبْكُمْ بِهِ اللهُ}، إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Whether you reveal what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it.} To His saying: {So help us against the disbelieving people.}

98 بَابُ تَفْسِيرِ سُورَةِ آلِ عِمْرَانَ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {اللهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ}

Chapter: Interpretation of Surah Al-Imran—His saying, Exalted is He: {Allah—there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence.}

99 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْـزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِهِ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلا اللهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلا أُولُو الأَلْبَابِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {It is He who has sent down to you the Book; in it are verses that are precise—they are the foundation of the Book—and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And Allah knows what she delivered.}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And Zakariya took care of her.}

102 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses.}

103 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَى عِنْدَ اللهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ خَلَقَهُ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ * الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَلا تَكُنْ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ * فَمَنْ حَاجَّكَ فِيهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنْفُسَنَا وَأَنْفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَلْ لَعْنَتَ اللهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was. * The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters. * Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you—say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]."}

104 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاللهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah] and this prophet, and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the ally of the believers.}

105 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ آمِنُوا بِالَّذِي أُنْـزِلَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَجْهَ النَّهَارِ وَاكْفُرُوا آخِرَهُ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And a faction of the People of the Scripture said, "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will return [i.e., abandon their religion]."}

106 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا أُولَئِكَ لا خَلاقَ لَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ وَلا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللهُ وَلا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their [own] oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and they will have a painful punishment.}

107 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَكِنْ كُونُوا رَبَّانِيِّينَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {But be you rabbaniyyin [learned, devoted to Allah] because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied.}

108 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَفَغَيْرَ دِينِ اللهِ يَبْغُونَ وَلَهُ أَسْلَمَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {So is it other than the religion of Allah they desire, while to Him have submitted [all] those within the heavens and earth, willingly or by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned.}

109 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الإِسْلامِ دِينًا فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And whoever desires other than Islam as religion—never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.}

110 ] قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love.}

111 ] قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِلا لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلا مَا حَرَّمَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تُنَـزَّلَ التَّوْرَاةُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {All food was lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel had made unlawful to himself before the Torah was revealed.}

112 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ * فِيهِ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ مَقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ آمِنًا}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Makkah—blessed and a guidance for the worlds. * In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe.}

6 hadith (509 — 514)

113 ] قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلا وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House—for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves—then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.}

4 hadith (515 — 518)

114 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللهِ جَمِيعًا وَلا تَفَرَّقُوا}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.}

2 hadith (519 — 520)

115 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.}

116 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَثَلُ مَا يُنْفِقُونَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيحٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتْ حَرْثَ قَوْمٍ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَتْهُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {The example of what they spend in this worldly life is like that of a wind containing frost which strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it.}

117 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِذْ هَمَّتْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ تَفْشَلا وَاللهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا وَعَلَى اللهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {When two parties among you were about to lose courage, but Allah was their protector; and upon Allah the believers should rely.}

118 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِخَمْسَةِ آلافٍ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction].}

119 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا اللهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلُوا وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins—and who can forgive sins except Allah?—and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.}

2 hadith (525 — 526)

120 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {هَذَا بَيَانٌ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {This [Qur'an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah.}

1 hadith (527 — 527)

121 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ قَاتَلَ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا وَاللهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.}

6 hadith (528 — 533)

122 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter.}

2 hadith (534 — 535)

123 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَغُلَّ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And it is not [possible] for a prophet to act unfaithfully [in regard to war booty].}

2 hadith (536 — 537)

124 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ * فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, * Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them—that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.}

3 hadith (538 — 540)

125 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Those who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them.}

2 hadith (541 — 542)

126 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّاسُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُوا لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ * فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللهِ وَفَضْلٍ لَمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Those to whom people said, "Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them." But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, "Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs." * So they returned with favor from Allah and bounty, no harm having touched them.}

3 hadith (543 — 545)

127 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لأَنْفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِثْمًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {And let not those who disbelieve think that Our granting them respite is good for them. We only give them respite so that they may increase in sin, and for them is a humiliating punishment.}

2 hadith (546 — 547)

128 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَا كَانَ اللهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ}

His saying, Exalted is He: {Allah would not leave the believers in that [state] you are in [presently] until He separates the evil from the good.}

129 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُوا بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {And let not those who withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty think it is good for them; rather, it is bad for them. They will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection}

130 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّي لا أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ فَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا وَأُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا فِي سَبِيلِي وَقَاتَلُوا وَقُتِلُوا لأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ ثَوَابًا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ وَاللهُ عِنْدَهُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {So their Lord responded to them: I do not let the work of any worker among you, male or female, be lost. You are from one another. So those who emigrated, were expelled from their homes, were harmed in My cause, fought and were killed, I will surely remove from them their misdeeds and admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, a reward from Allah. And with Allah is the best reward}

2 hadith (552 — 553)

131 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلا تُقْسِطُوا فِي الْيَتَامَى فَانْكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ مَثْنَى وَثُلاثَ وَرُبَاعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلا تَعْدِلُوا فَوَاحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَلا تَعُولُوا}

Interpretation of Surah An-Nisa, His (Allah's) saying: {And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphans, then marry those that please you of women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hands possess. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice]}

5 hadith (554 — 558)

132 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَإِنْ طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ مِنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيئًا مَرِيئًا}

His (Allah's) saying: {But if they give up willingly to you anything of it, then take it in satisfaction and ease}

133 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا تُؤْتُوا السُّفَهَاءَ أَمْوَالَكُمُ الَّتِي جَعَلَ اللهُ لَكُمْ قِيَامًا}

His (Allah's) saying: {And do not give the weak-minded your property, which Allah has made a means of support for you}

2 hadith (561 — 562)

134 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَابْتَلُوا الْيَتَامَى حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغُوا النِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ آنَسْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ}

His (Allah's) saying: {Test the orphans until they reach marriageable age; then if you perceive in them sound judgment, release their property to them}

3 hadith (563 — 565)

135 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ وَمَنْ كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {But if the guardian is self-sufficient, let him abstain [from taking a fee]; and if he is poor, let him take according to what is reasonable}

10 hadith (566 — 575)

136 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُولُو الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُمْ مِنْهُ وَقُولُوا لَهُمْ قَوْلا مَعْرُوفًا}

His (Allah's) saying: {And when the division is attended by relatives, orphans, and the needy, give them something out of it and speak to them words of kindness}

8 hadith (576 — 583)

137 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا خَافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللهَ وَلْيَقُولُوا قَوْلا سَدِيدًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And let those fear [for their orphans] who, if they left behind weak offspring, would be afraid for them. So let them fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice}

2 hadith (584 — 585)

138 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ الْيَتَامَى ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًا وَسَيَصْلَوْنَ سَعِيرًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming fire into their bellies and they will be burned in a Blaze}

139 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلالَةً أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ فِي الثُّلُثِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {And if a man or woman is inherited in kalalah and has a brother or a sister, then each one of them receives a sixth; but if they are more than two, they share a third}

7 hadith (587 — 593)

140 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاللاتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةً مِنْكُمْ فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّى يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلا}

His (Allah's) saying: {And those among your women who commit lewdness, call to witness four among you against them; then if they testify, confine them to the houses until death takes them or Allah ordains for them [another] way}

141 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اللهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِنْ قَرِيبٍ فَأُولَئِكَ يَتُوبُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا * وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّى إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الآنَ وَلا الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُولَئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا}

His (Allah's) saying: {Repentance is not for those who continue to do evil deeds until, when death approaches one of them, he says: Indeed, I repent now; nor for those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment}

142 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ أَرَدْتُمُ اسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَآتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ قِنْطَارًا فَلا تَأْخُذُوا مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَتَأْخُذُونَهُ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُبِينًا}

His (Allah's) saying: {And if you wish to replace one wife with another and you have given one of them a great amount [in gifts], do not take [back] from it anything. Would you take it in injustice and manifest sin?}

2 hadith (598 — 599)

143 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ وَعَمَّاتُكُمْ وَخَالاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ الأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ الأُخْتِ وَأُمَّهَاتُكُمُ اللاتِي أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَأُمَّهَاتُ نِسَائِكُمْ وَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللاتِي فِي حُجُورِكُمْ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمُ اللاتِي دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَحَلائِلُ أَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلابِكُمْ وَأَنْ تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الأُخْتَيْنِ إِلا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا}

His (Allah's) saying: {Forbidden to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your paternal aunts, your maternal aunts, daughters of your brother, daughters of your sister, your milk-mothers who nursed you, your milk-sisters, mothers of your wives, your stepdaughters under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone in—but if you have not gone in unto them, there is no sin upon you—and the wives of your sons who are from your loins, and that you take [in marriage] two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurred. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful}

5 hadith (600 — 604)

144 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ}

His (Allah's) saying: {And [also prohibited to you are] married women except those your right hands possess}

7 hadith (605 — 611)

145 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنْكُمْ طَوْلا أَنْ يَنْكِحَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فَمِنْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ مِنْ فَتَيَاتِكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ الْعَنَتَ مِنْكُمْ وَأَنْ تَصْبِرُوا خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَاللهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls} to His saying: {That is for him among you who fears sin, but to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful}

10 hadith (612 — 621)

146 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَاطِلِ إِلا أَنْ تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً عَنْ تَرَاضٍ مِنْكُمْ وَلا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا * وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ عُدْوَانًا وَظُلْمًا فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِ نَارًا وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللهِ يَسِيرًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers in order that [they might aid] you [to] consume a portion of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know [it is unlawful]}

1 hadith (622 — 622)

147 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ لِلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا اكْتَسَبُوا وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا اكْتَسَبْنَ وَاسْأَلُوا اللهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah of His bounty. Indeed, Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing}

148 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَآتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And those whom your right hands have bound [in oath], give them their share}

3 hadith (625 — 627)

149 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهَا إِنْ يُرِيدَا إِصْلاحًا يُوَفِّقِ اللهُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا خَبِيرًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people; if they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted}

150 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالْجَنْبِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And the companion at your side}

151 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Those who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess}

1 hadith (635 — 635)

152 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ اللهَ لا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ وَإِنْ تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِنْ لَدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward}

153 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ سُكَارَى حَتَّى تَعْلَمُوا مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلا جُنُبًا إِلا عَابِرِي سَبِيلٍ حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلُوا وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying, nor in a state of janabah except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving}

11 hadith (637 — 647)

154 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبًا مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْجِبْتِ وَالطَّاغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هَؤُلاءِ أَهْدَى مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا سَبِيلا * أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللهُ وَمَنْ يَلْعَنِ اللهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ نَصِيرًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, believing in superstition and false objects and saying to the disbelievers: These are better guided than the believers as to the way? Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed; and he whom Allah curses—never will you find for him any helper}

2 hadith (648 — 649)

155 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَمْ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٌ مِنَ الْمُلْكِ فَإِذًا لا يُؤْتُونَ النَّاسَ نَقِيرًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Or have they a share of dominion? Then [if that were so] they would not give the people [even as much as] the speck on a date seed}

156 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الأَمَانَاتِ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَنْ تَحْكُمُوا بِالْعَدْلِ إِنَّ اللهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُمْ بِهِ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا * يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنْ تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing. O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result}

8 hadith (651 — 658)

157 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ جَاءُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُوا اللهَ تَوَّابًا رَحِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful}

1 hadith (659 — 659)

158 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلا وَرَبِّكَ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّى يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission}

1 hadith (660 — 660)

159 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُولَئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {وَكَفَى بِاللهِ عَلِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger—those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs} to His saying: {And sufficient is Allah as Knower}

1 hadith (661 — 661)

160 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللهِ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِنْ نَفْسِكَ وَأَرْسَلْنَاكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولا وَكَفَى بِاللهِ شَهِيدًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Whatever good befalls you is from Allah, and whatever evil befalls you is from yourself. And We have sent you to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allah as Witness}

1 hadith (662 — 662)

161 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَاللهُ أَرْكَسَهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them fall back [into error] for what they earned}

162 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلا خَطَأً وَمَنْ قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا خَطَأً فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلا أَنْ يَصَّدَّقُوا فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَكُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِنَ اللهِ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And it is not for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And whoever kills a believer by mistake—then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased's family unless they give [up their right as] charity. But if the deceased was from a people at war with you and he was a believer—then [only] the freeing of a believing slave; and if he was from a people with whom you have a treaty—then a compensation payment presented to his family and the freeing of a believing slave. And whoever does not find [one or cannot afford to buy one]—then [instead], a fast for two consecutive months, seeking acceptance of repentance from Allah. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise}

2 hadith (664 — 665)

163 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever kills a believer intentionally—his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment}

11 hadith (666 — 676)

164 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا وَلا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ أَلْقَى إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلامَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًا تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who have believed, when you go forth in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life}

4 hadith (677 — 680)

165 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فَضَّلَ اللهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ دَرَجَةً وَكُلا وَعَدَ اللهُ الْحُسْنَى وَفَضَّلَ اللهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Not equal are those believers remaining [at home]—other than the disabled—and the mujahideen, [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind] by degrees. And to both Allah has promised the best [reward]. But Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who remain [behind] with a great reward}

3 hadith (681 — 683)

166 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يُهَاجِرْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ يَجِدْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُرَاغَمًا كَثِيرًا وَسَعَةً} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance}

1 hadith (684 — 684)

167 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ الْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللهِ وَكَانَ اللهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him—his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful}

2 hadith (685 — 686)

168 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللهَ يَجِدِ اللهَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful}

1 hadith (687 — 687)

169 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنْ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِلا إِنَاثًا وَإِنْ يَدْعُونَ إِلا شَيْطَانًا مَرِيدًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {They invoke none but female deities besides Him, and they [actually] invoke none but a rebellious Satan}

170 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللهِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {So they will surely alter the creation of Allah}

3 hadith (689 — 691)

171 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ وَلا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ وَلِيًّا وَلا نَصِيرًا * وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {It will not be in accordance with your desires or those of the People of the Book. Whoever does wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah a protector or a helper. And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer—those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed}

9 hadith (692 — 700)

172 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنْ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَنْ يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them—and settlement is best}

2 hadith (701 — 702)

173 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ فَلا تَمِيلُوا كُلَّ الْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَالْمُعَلَّقَةِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging}

174 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَدْ نَـزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الْكِتَابِ أَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلا تَقْعُدُوا مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا مِثْلُهُمْ}

His (Allah's) saying: {And He has already revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited] they are denied [by them] and ridiculed, so do not sit with them until they engage in another conversation}

175 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لا يُحِبُّ اللهُ الْجَهْرَ بِالسُّوءِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ إِلا مَنْ ظُلِمَ}

His (Allah's) saying: {Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged}

176 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْ}

His (Allah's) saying: {So the thunderbolt seized them for their wrongdoing}

177 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness}

178 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَبِظُلْمٍ مِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ طَيِّبَاتٍ أُحِلَّتْ لَهُمْ}

His (Allah's) saying: {So for the wrongdoing of the Jews, We made unlawful for them good things which had been lawful to them}

His (Allah's) saying: {This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion}

181 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them}

182 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {And wipe over your heads and your feet to the ankles}

183 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {So We instilled among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection}

184 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ مُبِينٌ * يَهْدِي بِهِ اللهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَهُ سُبُلَ السَّلامِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book. By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace}

185 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنْبِيَاءَ وَجَعَلَكُمْ مُلُوكًا وَآتَاكُمْ مَا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًا مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ}

His (Allah's) saying: {And [mention] when Moses said to his people: O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you kings and gave you what He had not given anyone among the worlds}

2 hadith (725 — 726)

186 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لا أَمْلِكُ إِلا نَفْسِي وَأَخِي فَافْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ}

His (Allah's) saying: {He said: My Lord, indeed I do not possess [power] except over myself and my brother, so part us from the defiantly disobedient people}

187 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا}

His (Allah's) saying: {Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land—it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one—it is as if he had saved mankind entirely}

188 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَنْ يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُمْ مِنْ خِلافٍ أَوْ يُنْفَوْا مِنَ الأَرْضِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {The penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land}

8 hadith (729 — 736)

189 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَالا مِنَ اللهِ وَاللهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {As for the thief, the male and the female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they committed as a deterrent [punishment] from Allah. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise}

190 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And among the Jews are those who listen to lies for the sake of others who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] places}

191 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّالُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Listeners to falsehood, devourers of what is unlawful}

192 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَإِنْ جَاءُوكَ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَإِنْ تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَنْ يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْئًا} .

His (Allah's) saying: {So if they come to you, judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them, they will not harm you at all}

193 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ إِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly}

194 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِنْدَهُمُ التَّوْرَاةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ اللهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَمَا أُولَئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {But how is it that they come to you for judgment while they have the Torah, in which is the judgment of Allah? Then they turn away, but they are not [in fact] believers}

195 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّا أَنْـزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللهِ وَكَانُوا عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَاءَ فَلا تَخْشَوُا النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْـزَلَ اللهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْـزَلَ اللهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed—then it is those who are the disbelievers} to His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed—then it is those who are the wrongdoers}

14 hadith (749 — 762)

196 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَنْـزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {And We have sent down to you the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it}

197 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Is it the judgment of [the time of] ignorance they seek? But who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who are certain [in faith]}

198 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَعَسَى اللهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِالْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَيُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا أَسَرُّوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ نَادِمِينَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {But perhaps Allah will bring conquest or a decision from Him, and they will become, over what they have been concealing within themselves, regretful}

199 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَنْ يَرْتَدَّ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ دِينِهِ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِي اللهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion—Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love}

1 hadith (766 — 766)

200 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَوْلا يَنْهَاهُمُ الرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالأَحْبَارُ عَنْ قَوْلِهِمُ الإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Why do the rabbis and religious scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and devouring what is unlawful? How wretched is what they have been doing}

201 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْـزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللهَ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people}

202 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالصَّابِئُونَ وَالنَّصَارَى مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians—those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness—no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve}

1 hadith (769 — 769)

203 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى لِسَانِ دَاوُدَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed}

204 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تُحَرِّمُوا طَيِّبَاتِ مَا أَحَلَّ اللهُ لَكُمْ وَلا تَعْتَدُوا إِنَّ اللهَ لا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors}

4 hadith (771 — 774)

205 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ اللهُ بِاللَّغْوِ فِي أَيْمَانِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يُؤَاخِذُكُمْ بِمَا عَقَّدْتُمُ الأَيْمَانَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is meaningless in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for [breaking] what you intended of oaths}

10 hadith (775 — 784)

206 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَكَفَّارَتُهُ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَاكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ذَلِكَ كَفَّارَةُ أَيْمَانِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ وَاحْفَظُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {But its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever cannot find [or afford it]—then a fast of three days [is required]. That is the expiation for oaths when you have sworn. But guard your oaths}

23 hadith (785 — 807)

207 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالأَنْصَابُ وَالأَزْلامُ رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ * إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلاةِ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُنْتَهُونَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {وَاللهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful. Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist

20 hadith (808 — 827)

208 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَقْتُلُوا الصَّيْدَ وَأَنْتُمْ حُرُمٌ وَمَنْ قَتَلَهُ مِنْكُمْ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاءٌ مِثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ} .

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who believe! Do not kill game while you are in the state of Ihram. And whoever among you kills it intentionally, the penalty is an equivalent from livestock...}

5 hadith (828 — 832)

209 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ}

His (Allah's) saying: {Lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food as provision for you and for travelers...}

6 hadith (833 — 838)

210 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ إِنْ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِنْ تَسْأَلُوا عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَـزَّلُ الْقُرْآنُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا اللهُ عَنْهَا وَاللهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ * قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا بِهَا كَافِرِينَ * مَا جَعَلَ اللهُ مِنْ بَحِيرَةٍ وَلا سَائِبَةٍ وَلا وَصِيلَةٍ وَلا حَامٍ وَلَكِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللهِ الْكَذِبَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لا يَعْقِلُونَ}

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who believe! Do not ask about things which, if made plain to you, may trouble you...}

211 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ لا يَضُرُّكُمْ مَنْ ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ إِلَى اللهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ}

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. He who goes astray cannot harm you when you are guided...}

11 hadith (840 — 850)

212 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا شَهَادَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِينَ الْوَصِيَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِنْكُمْ أَوْ آخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَا إِنَّا إِذًا لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ}

His (Allah's) saying: {O you who believe! The testimony among you when death approaches one of you at the time of bequest is two just men from among you or two others from outside...} up to: {We have not transgressed, then surely we would be of the wrongdoers}

12 hadith (851 — 862)

213 قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِذْ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَنْ يُنَـزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ اتَّقُوا اللهَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ}

His (Allah's) saying: {When the disciples said: O Jesus, son of Mary! Can your Lord send down to us a table from the heaven?...}

Verse (23): His (Allah's) saying: {By Allah, our Lord, we were not polytheists.}

216 الْآيَةُ (26) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْأَوْنَ عَنْهُ}

Verse (26): His (Allah's) saying: {And they forbid (others) from it and keep away from it...}

217 الْآيَةُ (33) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُ لَيَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِي يَقُولُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَكِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بِآيَاتِ اللهِ يَجْحَدُونَ}

Verse (33): His (Allah's) saying: {We know indeed the grief which their words cause you...}

218 الْآيَةُ (44) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَا أُوتُوا أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْلِسُونَ}

Verse (44): His (Allah's) saying: {But when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We opened to them the gates of everything...}

219 الْآيَةُ (52) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا تَطْرُدِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ}

Verse (52): His (Allah's) saying: {And do not drive away those who call upon their Lord morning and evening...}

220 الْآيَةُ (57) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلا لِلهِ يَقُصُّ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْفَاصِلِينَ}

Verse (57): His (Allah's) saying: {The decision is only for Allah. He relates the truth, and He is the best of judges.}

221 الْآيَةُ (59) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلا يَعْلَمُهَا}

Verse (59): His (Allah's) saying: {And not a leaf falls but He knows it...}

222 الْآيَةُ (65) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ}

Verse (65): His (Allah's) saying: {Say: He is able to send upon you a punishment from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you in sects and make you taste the violence of one another...}

223 الْآيَةُ (75) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ}

Verse (75): His (Allah's) saying: {Thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he might be of those possessing certainty.}

224 الْآيَةُ (82) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ أُولَئِكَ لَهُمُ الأَمْنُ وَهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ}

Verse (82): His (Allah's) saying: {Those who believe and do not mix their faith with wrongdoing, for them there is security and they are guided.}

225 الْآيَةُ (90) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللهُ فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهِ}

Verse (90): His (Allah's) saying: {Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so follow their guidance.}

228 الْآيَةُ (98) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ}

Verse (98): His (Allah's) saying: {And He it is Who produced you from a single soul, then (for you) a place of dwelling and a place of storage...}

229 الْآيَةُ (105) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكَذَلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الآيَاتِ وَلِيَقُولُوا دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ}

Verse (105) His saying, Exalted is He: {And thus do We diversify the signs so that they will say, "You have studied," and so We may make it clear for a people who know}

230 الْآيَاتُ (119 - 121) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ}، إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ}

Verses (119 - 121) His saying, Exalted is He: {And why should you not eat of that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned, while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled} to His saying: {And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience}

231 الْآيَةُ (122) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَوَمَنْ كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُورًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ كَمَنْ مَثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِنْهَا}

Verse (122) His saying, Exalted is He: {And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge from it?}

232 الْآيَةُ (125) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ أَنْ يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلإِسْلامِ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي السَّمَاءِ}

Verse (125) His saying, Exalted is He: {So whoever Allah wants to guide—He expands his breast to Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide—He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky}

233 الْآيَةُ (128) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُمْ مِنَ الإِنْسِ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمْ مِنَ الإِنْسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا}

Verse (128) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {And [mention] the Day He will gather them all together, [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term which You appointed for us."}

234 الْآيَةُ (133) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَرَبُّكَ الْغَنِيُّ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ مَا يَشَاءُ كَمَا أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ}

Verse (133) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {And your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people}

235 الْآيَةُ (138) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَقَالُوا هَذِهِ أَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لا يَطْعَمُهَا إِلا مَنْ نَشَاءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ}

Verse (138) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {And they say, "These animals and crops are forbidden; none may eat them except whom we will," by their claim}

236 الْآيَةُ (141) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {كُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَآتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ}

Verse (141) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {And He it is who produces gardens trellised and untrellised} to His saying: {Eat of their fruit when they bear fruit and give its due [zakah] on the day of its harvest}

237 الْآيَةُ (142) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَمِنَ الأَنْعَامِ حَمُولَةً وَفَرْشًا كُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللهُ}

Verse (142) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {And of the cattle are some for burden and some for meat. Eat of what Allah has provided for you}

238 الْآيَةُ (145) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {قُلْ لا أَجِدُ فِي مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَى طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنْـزِيرٍ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (145) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine"} the verse

239 الْآيَةُ (151) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَلا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ}

Verse (151) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {And do not approach immoralities—what is apparent of them and what is concealed}

240 الْآيَةُ (153) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ}

Verse (153) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way}

241 الْآيَةُ (158) قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلا أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ لا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا}

Verse (158) His saying, Mighty and Majestic: {Do they await except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good}

242 الْآيَةُ (159) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ}

Verse (159) His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects—you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only left to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do}

243 بَابُ تَفْسِيرِ سُورَةِ الْأَعْرَافِ الْآيَتَانِ (8 وَ 9) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ * وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ}

Chapter: Interpretation of Surah Al-A'raf, Verses (8 and 9) His saying, Exalted is He: {And the weighing [of deeds] that Day will be the truth. So those whose scales are heavy—it is they who will be the successful. But those whose scales are light—it is they who have put themselves in loss for what injustice they were doing toward Our verses}

244 الْآيَةُ (24) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ اهْبِطُوا بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ وَلَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ}

Verse (24) His saying, Exalted is He: {He said, "Descend, being to one another enemies. And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment for a time"}

245 الْآيَةُ (28) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّ اللهَ لا يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللهِ مَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ}

Verse (28) His saying, Exalted is He: {And when they commit an immorality, they say, "We found our fathers doing it, and Allah has ordered us to do it." Say, "Indeed, Allah does not order immorality. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?"}

246 الْآيَةُ (30) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَرِيقًا هَدَى وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلالَةُ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ}

Verse (30) His saying, Exalted is He: {A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided}

247 الْآيَةُ (31) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلا تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ}

Verse (31) His saying, Exalted is He: {O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess}

248 الْآيَةُ (40) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا لا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَلا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ}

Verse (40) His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them—the gates of heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle}

249 الْآيَاتُ (46 - 50) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ وَعَلَى الأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلا بِسِيمَاهُمْ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ}

Verses (46 - 50) His saying, Exalted is He: {And between them will be a partition, and on the elevations are men who recognize all by their mark} to His saying: {And they used to reject Our verses}

250 الْآيَةُ (127) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ الْمَلأُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَى وَقَوْمَهُ لِيُفْسِدُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَآلِهَتَكَ}

Verse (127) His saying, Exalted is He: {And the eminent among the people of Pharaoh said, "Will you leave Moses and his people to cause corruption in the land and abandon you and your gods?"}

251 الْآيَةُ (143) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَمَّا جَاءَ مُوسَى لِمِيقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي أَنْظُرْ إِلَيْكَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ}

Verse (143) His saying, Exalted is He: {And when Moses came at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, "My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You"} to His saying: {And I am the first of the believers}

252 الْآيَةُ (145) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ فِي الأَلْوَاحِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {سَأُرِيكُمْ دَارَ الْفَاسِقِينَ}

Verse (145) His saying, Exalted is He: {And We wrote for him on the tablets} to His saying: {I will show you the home of the defiantly disobedient}

253 الْآيَتَانِ (156 وَ 157) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاكْتُبْ لَنَا فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَا إِلَيْكَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ}

Verses (156 and 157) His saying, Exalted is He: {And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You} to His saying: {It is those who are the successful}

2 hadith (964 — 965)

254 الْآيَةُ (169) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُوا الْكِتَابَ يَأْخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَذَا الأَدْنَى وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَا} الْآيَةَ

Verse (169) His saying, Exalted is He: {And there followed them successors who inherited the Scripture [while] taking the commodities of this lower life and saying, "It will be forgiven for us"} the verse

255 الْآيَةُ (172) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى شَهِدْنَا}

Verse (172) His saying, Exalted is He: {And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam—from their loins—their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], "Am I not your Lord?" They said, "Yes, we have testified"}

3 hadith (967 — 969)

256 الْآيَةُ (187) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ}

Verse (187) His saying, Exalted is He: {They ask you about the Hour: when is its arrival?} to His saying: {They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah"}

257 الْآيَتَانِ (189 وَ 190) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا لِيَسْكُنَ إِلَيْهَا فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّاهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلا خَفِيفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِهِ فَلَمَّا أَثْقَلَتْ دَعَوَا اللهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنْ آتَيْتَنَا صَالِحًا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ * فَلَمَّا آتَاهُمَا صَالِحًا جَعَلا لَهُ شُرَكَاءَ فِيمَا آتَاهُمَا فَتَعَالَى اللهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ}

Verses (189 and 190) His saying, Exalted is He: {It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, "If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful." * But when He gives them a good [child], they ascribe partners to Him concerning that which He has given them. Exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him}

2 hadith (972 — 973)

258 الْآيَةُ (199) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ}

Verse (199) His saying, Exalted is He: {Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant}

259 الْآيَةُ (204) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ}

Verse (204) His saying, Exalted is He: {So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy}

260 بَابُ تَفْسِيرِ سُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِ الْآيَةُ (1) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الأَنْفَالِ قُلِ الأَنْفَالُ لِلهِ وَالرَّسُولِ فَاتَّقُوا اللهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ}

Chapter: Interpretation of Surah Al-Anfal, Verse (1) His saying, Exalted is He: {They ask you about the bounties [of war]. Say, "The bounties are for Allah and the Messenger. So fear Allah and amend that which is between you and obey Allah and His Messenger if you should be believers"}

261 الْآيَتَانِ (15 - 16) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا زَحْفًا فَلا تُوَلُّوهُمُ الأَدْبَارَ * وَمَنْ يُوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ دُبُرَهُ إِلا مُتَحَرِّفًا لِقِتَالٍ أَوْ مُتَحَيِّزًا إِلَى فِئَةٍ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللهِ وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ}

Verses (15 - 16) His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs. * And whoever turns his back to them on such a day—unless swerving [as a strategy] for war or joining [another] company—has certainly returned with anger [upon him] from Allah, and his refuge is Hell—and wretched is the destination}

262 الْآيَةُ (27) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَخُونُوا اللهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ}

Verse (27) His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]}

263 الْآيَةُ (29) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَتَّقُوا اللهَ يَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ فُرْقَانًا} الْآيَةَ

Verse (29) His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion} the verse

264 الْآيَةُ (32) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ هَذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (32) His saying, Exalted is He: {And [remember] when they said, "O Allah, if this should be the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky"} the verse

265 الْآيَتَانِ (33 - 34) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كَانَ اللهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ * وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ} الْآيَةَ

Verses (33 - 34) His saying, Exalted is He: {But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness. * But what is [the matter] with them that Allah should not punish them while they obstruct [people] from al-Masjid al-Haram} the verse

266 (40) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللهَ مَوْلاكُمْ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ}

Verse (40) His saying, Exalted is He: {But if they turn away, then know that Allah is your protector. Excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper}

267 الْآيَةُ (41) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَى} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ وَاللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ}

Verse (41) His saying, Exalted is He: {And know that anything you obtain of war booty—then indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives} to His saying: {The Day of Criterion, the day when the two armies met. And Allah is over all things competent}

268 الْآيَةُ (50) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ يَتَوَفَّى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الْمَلائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ}

Verse (50) His saying, Exalted is He: {And if you could but see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved, striking their faces and their backs and [saying], "Taste the punishment of the burning fire"}

269 الْآيَةُ (55) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَهُمْ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ}

Verse (55) His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe}

270 الْآيَةُ (60) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (60) His saying, Exalted is He: {And prepare against them whatever you are able of power} the verse

271 الْآيَةُ (65) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لا يَفْقَهُونَ}

Verse (65) His saying, Exalted is He: {O Prophet, urge the believers to battle} to His saying: {Because they are a people who do not understand}

272 الْآيَةُ (68) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَوْلا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ}

Verse (68) His saying, Exalted is He: {If not for a decree from Allah that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment}

Verse (2) His saying, Exalted is He: {So travel freely, [O disbelievers], throughout the land [during] four months}

275 الْآيَةُ (3) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَذَانٌ مِنَ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الأَكْبَرِ}

Verse (3) His saying, Exalted is He: {And [it is] an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage}

276 الْآيَةُ (18) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ}

Verse (18) His saying, Exalted is He: {The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day}

277 الْآيَةُ (28) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلا يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَذَا وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ إِنْ شَاءَ إِنَّ اللهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ}

Verse (28) His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haram after this, their [final] year. And if you fear privation, Allah will enrich you from His bounty if He wills. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Wise}

278 الْآيَةُ (31) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَهًا وَاحِدًا لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ}

Verse (31) His saying, Exalted is He: {They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him}

279 الْآيَةُ (33) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ}

Verse (33) His saying, Exalted is He: {It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it}

280 الْآيَةُ (36) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (36) His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve months in the register of Allah from the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred} the verse

281 الْآيَةُ (37) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا النَّسِيءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْكُفْرِ يُضَلُّ بِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُحِلُّونَهُ عَامًا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ عَامًا} الْآيَةَ

Verse (37) His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, the postponing [of restriction within sacred months] is an increase in disbelief by which those who have disbelieved are led [further] astray. They make it lawful one year and unlawful another year} the verse

282 الْآيَةُ (41) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {انْفِرُوا خِفَافًا وَثِقَالا وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ}

Verse (41) His saying, Exalted is He: {Go forth, whether light or heavy, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the cause of Allah. That is better for you, if you only knew}

283 الْآيَةُ (43) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {عَفَا اللهُ عَنْكَ لِمَ أَذِنْتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَاذِبِينَ}

Verse (43) His saying, Exalted is He: {May Allah pardon you, [O Muhammad]; why did you give them permission [to remain behind] until it was clear to you who were truthful and you knew the liars?}

3 hadith (1017 — 1019)

284 الْآيَةُ (47) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَوْ خَرَجُوا فِيكُمْ مَا زَادُوكُمْ إِلا خَبَالا وَلأَوْضَعُوا خِلالَكُمْ يَبْغُونَكُمُ الْفِتْنَةَ وَفِيكُمْ سَمَّاعُونَ لَهُمْ}

Verse (47) His saying, Exalted is He: {Had they gone forth with you, they would not have increased you except in confusion, and they would have been active among you, seeking [to cause] you fitnah; and among you are avid listeners to them}

285 الْآيَةُ (60) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَاللهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ}

Verse (60) His saying, Exalted is He: {Charity is only for the poor and the needy} to His saying: {And Allah is Knowing and Wise}

286 الْآيَةُ (74) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا نَقَمُوا إِلا أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ}

Verse (74) His saying, Exalted is He: {And they resented [the believers] only because Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty}

287 الْآيَاتُ (75 - 77) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ عَاهَدَ اللهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَبِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ}

Verses (75 - 77) His saying, Exalted is He: {And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah, "If He should give us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity"} to His saying: {And because they used to lie}

288 الْآيَةُ (79) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَجِدُونَ إِلا جُهْدَهُمْ}

Verse (79) His saying, Exalted is He: {Those who criticize the contributors among the believers concerning [their] charities and [criticize] the ones who find nothing [to spend] except their effort}

289 الْآيَةُ (82) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلْيَضْحَكُوا قَلِيلا وَلْيَبْكُوا كَثِيرًا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ}

Verse (82) His saying, Exalted is He: {So let them laugh a little and [then] weep much as recompense for what they used to earn}

290 الْآيَةُ (87) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {رَضُوا بِأَنْ يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لا يَفْقَهُونَ}

Verse (87) His saying, Exalted is He: {They were satisfied to be with those who stay behind, and their hearts were sealed over, so they do not understand}

291 الْآيَةُ (90) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَجَاءَ الْمُعَذِّرُونَ مِنَ الأَعْرَابِ لِيُؤْذَنَ لَهُمْ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (90) His saying, Exalted is He: {And those with excuses among the Bedouins came to be permitted} the verse

292 الْآيَةُ (92) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا عَلَى الَّذِينَ إِذَا مَا أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوْا وَأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (92) His saying, Exalted is He: {Nor [is there blame] upon those who, when they came to you for you to carry them, you said, "I can find nothing upon which to carry you." They turned back while their eyes overflowed with tears}

2 hadith (1031 — 1032)

293 الْآيَةُ (100) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالسَّابِقُونَ الأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (100) His saying, Exalted is He: {And the first forerunners among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct} the verse

294 الْآيَةُ (101) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمِمَّنْ حَوْلَكُمْ مِنَ الأَعْرَابِ مُنَافِقُونَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {سَنُعَذِّبُهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى عَذَابٍ عَظِيمٍ}

Verse (101) His saying, Exalted is He: {And among those around you of the Bedouins are hypocrites} to His saying: {We will punish them twice; then they will be returned to a great punishment}

295 الْآيَةُ (108) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا لَمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَقُومَ فِيهِ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (108) His saying, Exalted is He: {Do not stand [for prayer] within it—ever. A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in} the verse

2 hadith (1035 — 1036)

296 الْآيَاتُ (113 - 115) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ اللهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ}

Verses (113 - 115) His saying, Exalted is He: {It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists} to His saying: {Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things}

8 hadith (1037 — 1044)

297 الْآيَةُ (118) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَعَلَى الثَّلاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا حَتَّى إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (118) His saying, Exalted is He: {And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness} the verse

2 hadith (1045 — 1046)

298 الْآيَةُ (119) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ}

Verse (119) His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are true}

4 hadith (1047 — 1050)

299 الْآيَةُ (122) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنْفِرُوا كَافَّةً فَلَوْلا نَفَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِنْهُمْ طَائِفَةٌ لِيَتَفَقَّهُوا فِي الدِّينِ وَلِيُنْذِرُوا قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ}

Verse (122) His saying, Exalted is He: {And it is not for the believers to go forth [to battle] all at once. For there should separate from every division of them a group [remaining] to obtain understanding in the religion and warn their people when they return to them that they might be cautious}

1 hadith (1051 — 1051)

300 الْآيَةُ (127) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا مَا أُنْـزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا صَرَفَ اللهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لا يَفْقَهُونَ}

Verse (127) His saying, Exalted is He: {And whenever a surah is revealed, they look at each other, [saying], "Does anyone see you?" and then they dismiss themselves. Allah has dismissed their hearts because they are a people who do not understand}

301 الْآيَةُ (128) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ}

Verse (128) His saying, Exalted is He: {There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful}

302 الْآيَةُ (129) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ}

Verse (129) His saying, Exalted is He: {But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne"}

303 بَابُ تَفْسِيرِ سُورَةِ يُونُسَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ الْآيَةُ (12) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا مَسَّ الإِنْسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنْبِهِ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَائِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُ مَرَّ كَأَنْ لَمْ يَدْعُنَا إِلَى ضُرٍّ مَسَّهُ}

Chapter: Interpretation of Surah Yunus (peace be upon him), Verse (12) His saying, Exalted is He: {And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues as if he had never called upon Us to remove an affliction that touched him}

304 الْآيَةُ (16) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلا أَدْرَاكُمْ بِهِ}

Verse (16) His saying, Exalted is He: {Say, "If Allah had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you"}

305 الْآيَةُ (23) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلَمَّا أَنْجَاهُمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ}

Verse (23) His saying, Exalted is He: {But when He saves them, at once they commit injustice upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves}

306 الْآيَةُ (26) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَةٌ}

Verse (26) His saying, Exalted is He: {For those who have done good is the best [reward] and extra}

4 hadith (1058 — 1061)

307 الْآيَةُ (58) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ}

Verse (58) His saying, Exalted is He: {Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate"}

308 الْآيَةُ (64) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الآخِرَةِ}

Verse (64) His saying, Exalted is He: {For them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter}

309 الْآيَةُ (85) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَقَالُوا عَلَى اللهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ}

Verse (85) His saying, Exalted is He: {So they said, "Upon Allah do we rely. Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people"}

310 الْآيَةُ (87) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى وَأَخِيهِ أَنْ تَبَوَّآ لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتًا وَاجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً}

Verse (87) His saying, Exalted is He: {And We inspired to Moses and his brother, "Settle your people in Egypt in houses and make your houses [facing the] qiblah"}

311 الْآيَتَانِ (88 - 89) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ مُوسَى رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ آتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلأَهُ زِينَةً وَأَمْوَالا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ قَدْ أُجِيبَتْ دَعْوَتُكُمَا فَاسْتَقِيمَا وَلا تَتَّبِعَانِّ سَبِيلَ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ}

Verses (88 - 89) His saying, Exalted is He: {And Moses said, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life"} to His saying: {He said, "The supplication of you both has been accepted, so remain on a right course and do not follow the way of those who do not know"}

312 الْآيَةُ (94) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَإِنْ كُنْتَ فِي شَكٍّ مِمَّا أَنْـزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ فَاسْأَلِ الَّذِينَ يَقْرَءُونَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ}

Verse (94) His saying, Exalted is He: {So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you}

313 بَابُ تَفْسِيرِ سُورَةِ هُودٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ الْآيَةُ (5) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَلا إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُونَ صُدُورَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا مِنْهُ أَلا حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ}

Chapter: Interpretation of Surah Hud (peace be upon him), Verse (5) His saying, Exalted is He: {Unquestionably, they fold up their breasts to hide [their intentions] from Him. Unquestionably, [even] when they cover themselves with their clothing, He knows what they conceal and what they declare}

2 hadith (1078 — 1079)

314 الْآيَةُ (6) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلا عَلَى اللهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا كُلٌّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ}

Verse (6) His saying, Exalted is He: {And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register}

315 الْآيَةُ (17) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَفَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَيَتْلُوهُ شَاهِدٌ مِنْهُ وَمِنْ قَبْلِهِ كِتَابُ مُوسَى إِمَامًا وَرَحْمَةً أُولَئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِهِ مِنَ الأَحْزَابِ فَالنَّارُ مَوْعِدُهُ}

Verse (17) His saying, Exalted is He: {So is one who stands upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness from Him follows it, and before it was the Book of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in it. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions—the Fire is his promised destination}

316 الْآيَةُ (28) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ لَهَا كَارِهُونَ}

Verse (28) His saying, Exalted is He: {But it has become obscure to you? Should we force it upon you while you are averse to it?}

2 hadith (1085 — 1086)

317 الْآيَةُ (40) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (40) His saying, Exalted is He: {Until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, "Load upon it of each [creature] two mates"} the verse

318 الْآيَةُ (41) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ ارْكَبُوا فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ}

Verse (41) His saying, Exalted is He: {And [Noah] said, "Embark therein; in the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful"}

319 الْآيَتَانِ (45 - 46) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَنَادَى نُوحٌ رَبَّهُ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنْتَ أَحْكَمُ الْحَاكِمِينَ * قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ} الْآيَةَ

Verses (45 - 46) His saying, Exalted is He: {And Noah called to his Lord and said, "My Lord, indeed my son is of my family; and indeed, Your promise is true; and You are the most just of judges." * He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous"} the verse

6 hadith (1090 — 1095)

320 الْآيَةُ (71) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَائِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَاقَ وَمِن وَرَاءِ إِسْحَاقَ يَعْقُوبَ}

Verse (71) His saying, Exalted is He: {And his wife was standing, and she laughed; then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob}

321 الْآيَةُ (80) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ}

Verse (80) His saying, Exalted is He: {He said, "If only I had against you some power or could take refuge in a strong support"}

2 hadith (1097 — 1098)

322 الْآيَةُ (86) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {بَقِيَّتُ اللهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَا أَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ بِحَفِيظٍ}

Verse (86) His saying, Exalted is He: {What remains [lawful] from Allah is best for you, if you should be believers. And I am not a guardian over you}

323 الْآيَةُ (91) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالُوا يَا شُعَيْبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفًا وَلَوْلا رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنَاكَ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْنَا بِعَزِيزٍ}

Verse (91) His saying, Exalted is He: {They said, "O Shu'ayb, we do not understand much of what you say, and indeed, we see you weak among us. Were it not for your family, we would have stoned you, and you are not to us one respected"}

324 الْآيَةُ (100) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الْقُرَى نَقُصُّهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْهَا قَائِمٌ وَحَصِيدٌ}

Verse (100) His saying, Exalted is He: {That is from the news of the cities which We relate to you; of them, some are standing and [some] mown down}

325 الْآيَةُ (114) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ}

Verse (114) His saying, Exalted is He: {And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember}

2 hadith (1102 — 1103)

326 الْآيَتَانِ (118 - 119) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ * إِلا مَنْ رَحِمَ رَبُّكَ وَلِذَلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ} الْآيَةَ

Verses (118 - 119) His saying, Exalted is He: {And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ. * Except whom your Lord has given mercy, and for that He created them} the verse

4 hadith (1104 — 1107)

327 الْآيَةُ (120) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكُلا نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ وَجَاءَكَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَقُّ وَمَوْعِظَةٌ وَذِكْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ}

Verse (120) His saying, Exalted is He: {And each [story] We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make firm your heart. And there has come to you, in this, the truth and an instruction and a reminder for the believers}

3 hadith (1108 — 1110)

328 بَابُ تَفْسِيرِ سُورَةِ يُوسُفَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ الْآيَةُ (4) - قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِذْ قَالَ يُوسُفُ لأَبِيهِ يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ كَوْكَبًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ رَأَيْتُهُمْ لِي سَاجِدِينَ}

Chapter: Interpretation of Surah Yusuf (peace be upon him), Verse (4) His saying, Exalted is He: {When Joseph said to his father, "O my father, indeed I have seen [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me"}

329 الْآيَةُ (20) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ دَرَاهِمَ مَعْدُودَةٍ وَكَانُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الزَّاهِدِينَ}

Verse (20) His saying, Exalted is He: {And they sold him for a reduced price—a few dirhams—and they were, concerning him, of those content with little}

330 الْآيَةُ (21) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ الَّذِي اشْتَرَاهُ مِنْ مِصْرَ لامْرَأَتِهِ أَكْرِمِي مَثْوَاهُ عَسَى أَنْ يَنْفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا} الْآيَةَ

Verse (21) His saying, Exalted is He: {And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son"} the verse

331 الْآيَةُ (23) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَرَاوَدَتْهُ الَّتِي هُوَ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَنْ نَفْسِهِ وَغَلَّقَتِ الأَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ}

Verse (23) His saying, Exalted is He: {And she, in whose house he was, sought to seduce him. She closed the doors and said, "Come, you"}

332 الْآيَةُ (24) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهِ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوْلا أَنْ رَأَى بُرْهَانَ رَبِّهِ كَذَلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ السُّوءَ وَالْفَحْشَاءَ إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُخْلَصِينَ}

Verse (24) His saying, Exalted is He: {And she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. Thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants}

7 hadith (1115 — 1121)

333 الْآيَةُ (30) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ نِسْوَةٌ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ امْرَأَتُ الْعَزِيزِ تُرَاوِدُ فَتَاهَا عَنْ نَفْسِهِ قَدْ شَغَفَهَا حُبًّا إِنَّا لَنَرَاهَا فِي ضَلالٍ مُبِينٍ}

Verse (30) His saying, Exalted is He: {And women in the city said, "The wife of al-'Aziz is seeking to seduce her slave boy. He has impassioned her with love; indeed, we see her in clear error"}

2 hadith (1122 — 1123)

334 الْآيَةُ (36) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ السِّجْنَ فَتَيَانِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّا نَرَاكَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ}

Verse (36) His saying, Exalted is He: {And there entered the prison with him two young men} to His saying: {Indeed, we see you to be of those who do good}

1 hadith (1124 — 1124)

335 الْآيَةُ (42) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ نَاجٍ مِنْهُمَا اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ فَأَنْسَاهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ذِكْرَ رَبِّهِ فَلَبِثَ فِي السِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِينَ}

Verse (42) His saying, Exalted is He: {And he said to the one whom he thought would be saved, "Mention me before your master." But Satan made him forget the mention [to] his master, and Joseph remained in prison several years}

336 الْآيَةُ (45) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ الَّذِي نَجَا مِنْهُمَا وَادَّكَرَ بَعْدَ أُمَّةٍ أَنَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِتَأْوِيلِهِ فَأَرْسِلُونِ}

Verse (45) His saying, Exalted is He: {But the one who was freed and remembered after a time said, "I will inform you of its interpretation, so send me forth"}

337 الْآيَةُ (49) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {ثُمَّ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ عَامٌ فِيهِ يُغَاثُ النَّاسُ وَفِيهِ يَعْصِرُونَ}

Verse (49) His saying, Exalted is He: {Then will come after that a year in which the people will be given rain and in which they will press [olives, grapes, etc.]}

338 الْآيَتَانِ (52 - 53) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {ذَلِكَ لِيَعْلَمَ أَنِّي لَمْ أَخُنْهُ بِالْغَيْبِ وَأَنَّ اللهَ لا يَهْدِي كَيْدَ الْخَائِنِينَ * وَمَا أُبَرِّئُ نَفْسِي إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ}

Verses (52 - 53) His saying, Exalted is He: {That is so he will know that I did not betray him in [his] absence and that Allah does not guide the plan of betrayers. * And I do not acquit myself. Indeed, the soul is a persistent enjoiner of evil}

339 الْآيَةُ (54) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ ائْتُونِي بِهِ أَسْتَخْلِصْهُ لِنَفْسِي فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهُ قَالَ إِنَّكَ الْيَوْمَ لَدَيْنَا مَكِينٌ أَمِينٌ}

Verse (54) His saying, Exalted is He: {And the king said, "Bring him to me; I will select him exclusively for myself." And when he spoke to him, he said, "Indeed, you are today established [in position] and trusted"}

340 الْآيَةُ (62) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ لِفِتْيَانِهِ اجْعَلُوا بِضَاعَتَهُمْ فِي رِحَالِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْرِفُونَهَا إِذَا انْقَلَبُوا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ}

Verse (62) His saying, Exalted is He: {And [Joseph] said to his servants, "Put their merchandise into their saddlebags so they might recognize it when they have gone back to their people that perhaps they will [again] return"}

2 hadith (1130 — 1131)

341 الْآيَةُ (65) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَمَّا فَتَحُوا مَتَاعَهُمْ وَجَدُوا بِضَاعَتَهُمْ رُدَّتْ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالُوا يَا أَبَانَا مَا نَبْغِي هَذِهِ بِضَاعَتُنَا رُدَّتْ إِلَيْنَا}

Verse (65) His saying, Exalted is He: {And when they opened their baggage, they found their merchandise returned to them. They said, "O our father, what [more] could we desire? This is our merchandise returned to us"}

342 الْآيَةُ (67) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَالَ يَا بَنِيَّ لا تَدْخُلُوا مِنْ بَابٍ وَاحِدٍ وَادْخُلُوا مِنْ أَبْوَابٍ مُتَفَرِّقَةٍ وَمَا أُغْنِي عَنْكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلا لِلهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَعَلَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ} .

Verse (67) His saying, Exalted is He: {And he said, "O my sons, do not enter from one gate but enter from different gates; and I cannot avail you against Allah at all. The decision is only for Allah; upon Him I have relied, and upon Him let those who would rely [indeed] rely"}

343 الْآيَةُ (72) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالُوا نَفْقِدُ صُوَاعَ الْمَلِكِ وَلِمَنْ جَاءَ بِهِ حِمْلُ بَعِيرٍ وَأَنَا بِهِ زَعِيمٌ}

Verse (72) His saying, Exalted is He: {They said, "We are missing the king's measure, and for he who produces it is [the reward of] a camel's load, and I am responsible for it"}

3 hadith (1134 — 1136)

344 الْآيَةُ (76) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَنْ نَشَاءُ وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ}

Verse (76) His saying, Exalted is He: {We raise in degrees whom We will, but over every possessor of knowledge is one [more] knowing}

345 الْآيَةُ (86) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللهِ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللهِ مَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ}

Verse (86) His saying, Exalted is He: {He said, "I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know"}

346 الْآيَةُ (88) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ قَالُوا يَا أَيُّهَا الْعَزِيزُ مَسَّنَا وَأَهْلَنَا الضُّرُّ وَجِئْنَا بِبِضَاعَةٍ مُزْجَاةٍ فَأَوْفِ لَنَا الْكَيْلَ وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّ اللهَ يَجْزِي الْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ}

Verse (88) His saying, Exalted is He: {So when they entered upon him, they said, "O Aziz, adversity has touched us and our family, and we have come with goods poor in quality, but give us full measure and be charitable to us. Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable"}

347 الْآيَةُ (98) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ سَوْفَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكُمْ رَبِّي إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ}

Verse (98) His saying, Exalted is He: {He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful"}

348 الْآيَةُ (101) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ أَنْتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ}

Verse (101) His saying, Exalted is He: {My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous}

349 الْآيَةُ (106) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ بِاللهِ إِلا وَهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ}

Verse (106) His saying, Exalted is He: {And most of them believe not in Allah except while they associate others with Him}

350 الْآيَةُ (110) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَيْئَسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُوا جَاءَهُمْ نَصْرُنَا فَنُجِّيَ مَنْ نَشَاءُ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (110) His saying, Exalted is He: {Until, when the messengers despaired and were certain that they had been denied, there came to them Our victory, and whoever We willed was saved} the verse

Chapter 50: Interpretation of Surah Ar-Ra'd, Verse (4) His saying, Exalted is He: {And in the earth are neighboring tracts and gardens of grapevines and crops and palm trees, [growing] several from a root or otherwise, watered with one water} the verse

352 الْآيَةُ (8) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {اللهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنْثَى وَمَا تَغِيضُ الأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِمِقْدَارٍ}

Verse (8) His saying, Exalted is He: {Allah knows what every female carries and what the wombs lose [prematurely] or exceed. And everything with Him is by due measure}

353 الْآيَةُ (11) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللهِ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (11) His saying, Exalted is He: {For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah} the verse

354 الْآيَةُ (13) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَيُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ الصَّوَاعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُمْ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي اللهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ الْمِحَالِ}

Verse (13) His saying, Exalted is He: {And the thunder exalts [Allah] with praise of Him—and the angels [as well] from fear of Him—and He sends thunderbolts and strikes therewith whom He wills; yet they dispute about Allah, and He is severe in assault}

355 الْآيَةُ (18) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمُ الْحُسْنَى وَالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَهُ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُمْ}، إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْحِسَابِ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ}

Verse (18) His saying, Exalted is He: {For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward]; but those who did not respond to Him—if they had all that is in the earth and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place}

356 الْآيَةُ (23) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَنْ صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ} الْآيَةَ

Verse (23) His saying, Exalted is He: {Gardens of perpetual residence; they will enter them with whoever were righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their descendants} the verse

357 الْآيَةُ (28) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللهِ أَلا بِذِكْرِ اللهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ}

Verse (28) His saying, Exalted is He: {Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured}

358 الْآيَةُ (29) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ طُوبَى لَهُمْ وَحُسْنُ مَآبٍ}

Verse (29) His saying, Exalted is He: {Those who have believed and done righteous deeds—a good state is theirs and a good return}

359 الْآيَةُ (31) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى بَلْ لِلهِ الأَمْرُ جَمِيعًا أَفَلَمْ يَيْأَسِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ لَوْ يَشَاءُ اللهُ لَهَدَى النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَلا يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا تُصِيبُهُمْ بِمَا صَنَعُوا قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبًا مِنْ دَارِهِمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ وَعْدُ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ لا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ}

Verse (31) His saying, Exalted is He: {And if there was any Qur'an by which the mountains would be removed or the earth would be broken apart or the dead would be made to speak, [it would be this Qur'an], but to Allah belongs the affair entirely. Then have those who believed not accepted that had Allah willed, He would have guided the people, all of them? And those who disbelieve—disaster will not cease to strike them for what they have done or will settle near their home until the promise of Allah comes. Indeed, Allah does not fail in [His] promise}

360 الْآيَةُ (41) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَأْتِي الأَرْضَ نَنْقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا وَاللهُ يَحْكُمُ لا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِ وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ}

Verse (41) His saying, Exalted is He: {Do they not see that We come to the earth reducing it from its edges? And Allah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account}

361 الْآيَةُ (43) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَسْتَ مُرْسَلا قُلْ كَفَى بِاللهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ}

Verse (43) His saying, Exalted is He: {And those who disbelieve say, "You are not a messenger." Say, "Sufficient is Allah as Witness between me and you, and [the witness of] whoever has knowledge of the Scripture"}
