قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you.}
Sunan Sa'id bin Mansur 261 — His saying, Exalted is He: {O you
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَوَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ } قَالَ: ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ .
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The meaning of Allah the Exalted's statement ﴿كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ﴾ is that fasting for three days in every month was made obligatory.
