Hadith Beginning with the Letter Lam (ل)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"This stone will come on the Day of Resurrection having two eyes with which it sees and a tongue with which it speaks, and it will bear witness in favour of whoever touched it in truth."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let every man take hold of the head-rope of his mount, for this is a place where Satan came to us."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let each of you eat with his right hand, drink with his right hand and take with his right hand, for Satan eats with his left hand, drinks with his left hand, gives with his left hand and takes with his left hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let every man eat from his sacrificial animal."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let the one among you who has recited the most of the Qur'an lead you in prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"An army will certainly come to attack this House (the Ka'bah), until, when they are in a desert land, the middle part of them will be swallowed up by the earth; the front of them will call out to the rear of them, then they will all be swallowed up, and none will remain except a fugitive who will give news of them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let the one who is present convey this to the one who is absent."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let the one of you who is present convey to the one who is absent: do not pray after Fajr except two rak'ahs."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people of my Ummah will spend the night in eating and drinking, amusement and play, then in the morning they will rise as apes and swine."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Each of you should take a grateful heart, a tongue that remembers (Allah), and a believing wife who helps him in the affairs of the Hereafter."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let a man give charity from his sa' of wheat, and let him give charity from his sa' of dates."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Each of you should protect his face from the Fire, even if only with a piece of a date (given in charity)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Each of you should undertake only as much of deeds as he is able to, for Allah Almighty does not tire until you yourselves tire; and keep to moderation and strive to be close to what is right."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will certainly wish that they had committed even more sins; these will be the people whose bad deeds Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has changed into good deeds."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Those people who took on the responsibility of this matter (governance) will certainly wish that they had fallen from the Pleiades and had not taken responsibility for anything."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"This House will be performed Hajj to and Umrah to even after the emergence of Gog and Magog (Ya'juj and Ma'juj)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people of my Ummah will be brought out of Hell through my intercession; they will be called 'the Jahannamiyyun' (the people of Hell)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Through the intercession of a man who is not a prophet, people equal to the two tribes of Rabi'ah and Mudar will enter Paradise. I only say what I say."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Through the intercession of one man of my Ummah, more people than the tribe of Banu Tamim will enter Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Seventy thousand or seven hundred thousand of my Ummah will enter Paradise, holding one another by the hand; the first of them will not enter until the last of them has entered, and their faces will be (shining) like the moon on the night of the full moon."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter Paradise with no reckoning and no punishment upon them, and with every thousand there will be a further seventy thousand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let him take her back, then keep her until she becomes pure, then menstruates and then becomes pure again; then, if he intends to divorce her, let him divorce her in a state of purity without having had intercourse with her. That is the waiting period ('iddah) according to which Allah has commanded that women be divorced."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some of my Companions will certainly come to me at the Pond, until, when I see them and recognise them, they will be held back before reaching me. Then I will say: 'O my Lord! My Companions, my Companions!' And it will be said to me: 'You do not know what new things they invented after you.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There is no one to whom praise is dearer than it is to Allah, and there is no one who accepts excuses more than Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There is no one more patient over (hurtful words) he hears than Allah Almighty. People claim that He has a son and they set up partners with Him, yet despite that He grants them well-being and provides for them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There is no one more excellent in the sight of Allah than a believer who is granted a long life in Islam, because of his saying Allahu Akbar, al-Hamdu lillah, Subhan Allah and La ilaha illallah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever of my Ummah supports three daughters or three sisters and treats them well, they will be a screen for him from the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Being told (of something) is not like seeing it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Being told is not like seeing: Allah Almighty informed Musa of what his people had done with the calf, yet he did not throw down the tablets; but when he saw for himself what they had done, he threw down the tablets and they broke."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The strong one is not the one who throws others down in wrestling; the strong one is only the one who controls himself at the time of anger."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasting is not merely abstaining from eating and drinking; fasting is abstaining from idle and obscene talk. So if anyone insults you or behaves ignorantly towards you, say: 'I am fasting, I am fasting.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Richness (wealth) is not having an abundance of goods; rather, richness is the richness of the soul."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fajr is not the whiteness that appears elongated (vertically) in the horizon; rather, it is the redness that spreads across the horizon."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"He is not a liar who makes peace between people, conveying good words and saying good things for that purpose."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"He is not a believer whose neighbour is not safe from his harm."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer is not one who taunts, nor one who curses, nor one who is indecent, nor one who is foul-mouthed."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"He is not a believer who eats his fill while his neighbour beside him is hungry."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The poor person (miskin) is not the one who is turned away by a morsel or two; rather, the poor person is the one who has no wealth, who feels shy, and does not ask people persistently."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The poor person (miskin) is not the one who goes around to people and is turned away with a morsel or two, or a date or two; rather, the poor person is the one who does not find enough wealth to make him self-sufficient, and no one notices him so that charity might be given to him, and he does not himself stand up and ask people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The one who maintains the ties of kinship is not the one who merely reciprocates; rather, the one who maintains the ties of kinship is the one who, when his ties of kinship are cut, joins them."
