«ليس الصيام من الأكل والشرب إنما الصيام من اللغووالرفث فإن سابك أحد أو جهل عليك فقل إني صائم إني صائم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasting is not merely abstaining from eating and drinking; fasting is abstaining from idle and obscene talk. So if anyone insults you or behaves ignorantly towards you, say: 'I am fasting, I am fasting.'"
