Hadith Beginning with the Letter 'Ayn (ع)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The one who visits the sick is in the fruit-gathering garden of Paradise, and when he sits with him, mercy covers him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The one who visits the sick walks in the fruit-gathering garden of Paradise until he returns."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Aishah is my wife in Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever shows enmity to Ali, Allah shows enmity to him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A borrowed item is to be returned."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ashura is the day of the tenth."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Treat her with the Book of Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Most of the people of Hell are women."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Most of the punishment of the grave is because of urine."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O servants of Allah! You must straighten your rows, or else Allah will cause division between your faces."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O servants of Allah! Allah has removed hardship from the religion, except for a person who unjustly attacks the honour of another man; it is he who will fall into hardship and be ruined. O servants of Allah! Seek treatment, for Allah Almighty has not created any disease without placing a cure for it, except for one disease: old age."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Worship during times of turmoil and tribulation is like emigrating to me."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Abdullah bin Salam is the tenth of ten in Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Freeing a slave (itq al-nasamah) is that you alone free him, and releasing a neck (fakk al-raqabah) is that you help in freeing him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Uthman revived my Ummah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Uthman is very modest; even the angels feel shy before him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Uthman is in Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How wonderful is the affair of the believer! All of his affairs are good for him, and this is not the case for anyone except the believer. If something pleasing befalls him, he gives thanks, and that is good for him; and if hardship befalls him, he is patient, and that too is good for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Our Lord marvels at a man who fights in the path of Allah, then his companions flee, but knowing his duty he returns until his blood is shed. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says to His angels: 'Look at My servant! He returned out of longing for what is with Me and fear of what is with Me, until his blood was shed.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Our Lord marvels at people who are led to Paradise in chains."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I marvelled at people who are being driven to Paradise in chains while they are unwilling."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I marvel at the patience and generosity of my brother Yusuf, may Allah forgive him: when a messenger was sent to him to seek his interpretation of the dream, had it been me, I would not have done so until I was released from prison. And I marvel at his patience and generosity, may Allah forgive him: when they came to release him, he did not come out until he had informed them of his justification; had it been me, I would have hastened. And had it not been for that word, he would not have remained in prison for so long, where he sought release from other than Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I marvel at the believer: Allah Almighty does not decree anything for him except that it is good for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I marvel at the Muslim: when a calamity befalls him, he hopes for reward and is patient, and when good befalls him, he praises Allah and gives thanks. Indeed, the Muslim is rewarded in everything, even in the morsel he raises to his mouth."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I marvel at people of my Ummah who will ride the sea like kings upon thrones."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O you who prays, you have been hasty! When you pray and sit, first praise Allah as He deserves, then send blessings upon me, then supplicate to Him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hasten to break the fast and delay the pre-dawn meal (suhur)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hasten to set out for Makkah, for none of you knows what illness or need may befall him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The number of the vessels of the Pond is like the number of the stars in the sky."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The punishment of the grave is true."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The punishment of my Ummah will take place in this world."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The punishment of this Ummah has been placed in its own hands, in its worldly life."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A woman was punished because of a cat which she kept confined until it died of hunger, and because of it she entered the Fire. Allah said: 'You neither fed it nor gave it drink when you confined it, nor did you set it free so that it could eat from the insects of the earth.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A woman was punished because of a cat; she kept it tied up until it died, and she did not release it so that it could eat from the insects and creatures of the earth, so Hell became due for her because of that."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I was taken up until I reached a height where I heard the scratching of the pens."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A shelter like the shelter of Musa."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The nations were shown to me, and I saw a prophet with a small group, a prophet with one or two men, and a prophet with no one at all. Then a huge multitude appeared before me and I thought that they were my Ummah, but I was told: This is Musa and his people. But look towards the horizon; and there was a huge multitude. Then I was told: Look towards the other horizon; and there too was a huge multitude. Then I was told: This is your Ummah, and with them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning and without punishment. They are those who do not perform ruqyah, nor ask for ruqyah, nor take evil omens, nor have themselves cauterised, and who put their trust in their Lord."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The days were shown to me, and among them Friday was shown to me. It was like a white mirror, and in its middle was a black spot. I asked: What is this? It was said: The Hour."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Paradise was shown to me, so much so that had I stretched out my hand I would have taken some of its clusters of fruit. And Hell was shown to me, and I began to blow, fearing that its heat would envelop you. In it I saw the one who stole the sacrificial camel of the Messenger of Allah, and in it I saw the brother of Banu Da'da', who used to steal the belongings of the pilgrims; when he was caught, he would say: This is the work of my hooked staff. And in it I saw a tall black woman being punished because of a cat: she kept it tied up, neither fed it nor gave it water, nor let it go so that it could eat from the insects and creatures of the earth, until it died. And indeed the sun and the moon are not eclipsed for the death or the life of anyone; rather, they are two of the signs of Allah. So when either of them is eclipsed, hasten to the remembrance of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Just now Paradise and Hell were shown to me beyond this wall. I have never seen good and evil as I have today. If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much."
