«عجبت لصبر أخي يوسف وكرمه والله يغفر له حيث أرسل إليه ليستفتى في الرؤيا ولو كنت أنا لم أفعل حتى أخرج وعجبت لصبره وكرمه والله يغفر له أتي ليخرج فلم يخرج حتى أخبرهم بعذره ولو كنت أنا لبادرت» . الباب ولولا الكلمة لما لبث في السجن حيث يبتغي الفرج من عند غير الله عز وجل"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I marvel at the patience and generosity of my brother Yusuf, may Allah forgive him: when a messenger was sent to him to seek his interpretation of the dream, had it been me, I would not have done so until I was released from prison. And I marvel at his patience and generosity, may Allah forgive him: when they came to release him, he did not come out until he had informed them of his justification; had it been me, I would have hastened. And had it not been for that word, he would not have remained in prison for so long, where he sought release from other than Allah."
