Sahih al-Jami al-Saghir 3976 — Freeing a slave (itq al-nasamah)
«عتق النسمة أن تنفرد بعتقها وفك الرقبة أن تعين في عتقها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Freeing a slave (itq al-nasamah) is that you alone free him, and releasing a neck (fakk al-raqabah) is that you help in freeing him."
