Hadith Beginning with the Letter Sad (ص)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray in your shoes, and do not imitate the Jews."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray two rak'ahs before Maghrib. Pray two rak'ahs before Maghrib, for whoever wishes (to pray them)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"If you wish to enter the House (the Ka'bah), pray in the Hijr (of Isma'il), for it is part of the House. But when your people built the Ka'bah, they shortened it and left it out of the House."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Observe the best fasting, and that is the fasting of Dawud (peace be upon him): fasting one day and not fasting the next."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fast the month of patience, Ramadan. Fast the month of patience, and three days of every month."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Acts of kindness protect against evil deaths, calamities and destruction, and those who do good in this world will be the people of goodness (counted among them) in the Hereafter as well."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Acts of kindness protect against evil deaths, secret charity extinguishes the anger of the Lord, maintaining ties of kinship increases one's lifespan, and every good deed is charity. Those who do good in this world will be the people of goodness in the Hereafter as well, and those who do evil in this world will be the people of evil in the Hereafter as well."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Acts of kindness protect against evil deaths, secret charity extinguishes the anger of the Lord, and maintaining ties of kinship increases one's lifespan."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Two kinds of people from my Ummah will never be reached by my intercession: an oppressive, tyrannical ruler, and every extremist who has departed from the religion."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There are two kinds of the people of Hell whom I have not yet seen: people who have whips like the tails of cattle with which they beat people, and women who are clothed yet naked, who incline others (to evil) and are themselves inclined, their heads like the leaning humps of Bactrian camels. These women will not enter Paradise nor find its fragrance, although its fragrance can be perceived from such and such a distance."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The voice of Abu Talhah in the army is better than a thousand men."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Two sounds are cursed in this world and the Hereafter: playing a musical pipe (instrument) at a time of joy, and wailing and lamenting (mourning) at a time of calamity."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasting three days of every month, and fasting from one Ramadan to the next Ramadan, is equal to fasting perpetually and breaking the fast (in between)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasting the month of patience and fasting three days of every month is equal to fasting perpetually."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasting the month of patience and fasting three days of every month removes the heat (rancour) of the chest."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasting the day of Arafah is a means of expiation for (the sins of) the past year and the coming year."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasting the day of Arafah expiates the sins of two years, the past and the coming, and fasting the day of Ashura expiates the sins of one past year."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Your day of fasting is the day on which you (all) fast, and your day of sacrifice is the day on which you (all) offer sacrifice."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fast the month, and also its last dark nights."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fast upon sighting the moon and stop fasting upon sighting the moon. If clouds come between you and the moon, then complete the count of Sha'ban. Do not go out to welcome the month (of Ramadan) in advance, and do not join a day of Sha'ban to Ramadan."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fast upon sighting the moon and stop fasting upon sighting the moon, and if (the moon) is hidden from you, then complete thirty days of Sha'ban."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fast upon sighting the moon, stop fasting upon sighting the moon, and offer your sacrifices according to it. If (the moon) is hidden from you, then complete thirty days, and if two Muslim witnesses testify, then fast and stop fasting (accordingly)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fast from one brightness (of the moon/day) to the next brightness (of the moon/day)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fast on behalf of your sister."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The prayer of any one of you in his house is better than his prayer in this mosque of mine, except for the obligatory prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The prayer of the Awwabin (the forenoon prayer) is when the young camels begin to feel the heat (of the sun)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The prayer of one who sits carries half (the reward) of the prayer of one who stands."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Prayer in congregation is twenty-five times more excellent than the prayer of any one of you performed alone."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Prayer in congregation is equal to twenty-five times the prayer performed alone."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Prayer in congregation is twenty-five degrees more excellent than the prayer performed alone."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Prayer in congregation is twenty-seven degrees more excellent than the prayer performed alone."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man's voluntary prayer where people do not see him is equal to twenty-five times the prayer performed before the eyes of people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man's prayer in congregation exceeds his prayer performed alone by twenty-five degrees."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man's prayer in congregation exceeds his prayer in his house and his prayer in his marketplace by twenty-five degrees. That is because when one of you performs ablution and does it well, then comes to the mosque intending nothing but the prayer, he does not take a single step except that Allah raises him a degree by it and forgives him a sin by it, until he enters the mosque. Then, when he enters the mosque, he is counted as being in prayer as long as the prayer keeps him there, and the angels continue to supplicate for him as long as he remains seated in the place where he prayed, saying: O Allah, forgive him! O Allah, have mercy on him! O Allah, accept his repentance! as long as he does not harm anyone there or break his ablution."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man's prayer in congregation exceeds his prayer performed alone by twenty-five degrees, and if he prays in a desolate place and completes its ablution, its bowing and its prostrations, his prayer reaches fifty degrees."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man's prayer standing is better than his prayer sitting, his prayer sitting carries half (the reward) of his prayer standing, and his prayer lying down carries half (the reward) of his prayer sitting."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man's prayer while sitting is (equal to) half a prayer, but I am not like any one of you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The forenoon prayer is the prayer of the Awwabin."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The prayer of one who sits carries half (the reward) of the prayer of one who stands."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The night prayer is two units at a time. So when any one of you fears the arrival of dawn, let him pray one unit; it will make what he has already prayed odd (witr)."
