Hadith Beginning with the Letter Dad (ض)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The lost property of a Muslim (which someone picks up and keeps) is a burning ember of the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Sacrifice a jadha' (a young sheep under one year old) of the sheep, for it is permissible."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah laughed at two men, one of whom killed the other, and both of them will enter Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I laughed on seeing people who are being driven towards Paradise bound in chains."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah Almighty set forth a parable: a straight path, and on both sides of the path there are two walls, in those walls there are open doors, and over the doors there are hanging curtains. At the head of the path a caller says: 'O people! Enter the path, all of you, and do not deviate from it.' And a caller calls from above the path, so when a person wants to open any of those doors, he says: 'Woe to you! Do not open it, for if you open it, you will enter it.' So the path is Islam, the two walls are the limits set by Allah Almighty, the open doors are the things Allah Almighty has made unlawful, the caller at the head of the path is the Book of Allah, and the caller from above is Allah's admonisher (the conscience) in the heart of every Muslim."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The molar tooth of the disbeliever will be as big as Mount Uhud, and the thickness of his skin will be forty cubits by the cubit of al-Jabbar (an angel)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The molar tooth of the disbeliever will be as big as Mount Uhud, and the thickness of his skin will be the distance of a three-day journey."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the Day of Resurrection the molar tooth of the disbeliever will be as big as Mount Uhud, the breadth of his skin will be seventy cubits, his upper arm will be like Mount al-Bayda', his thigh will be like Mount Warqan, and his seat in Hell will be as vast as the distance between me and al-Rabadhah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the Day of Resurrection the molar tooth of the disbeliever will be as big as Mount Uhud, his thigh will be like Mount al-Bayda', and his seat in Hell will be equal to the distance of a three-day journey, like al-Rabadhah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Place your nose (on the ground) so that it prostrates along with you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Place your hand on the part of your body that is in pain and say 'Bismillah' three times, then say seven times: 'A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir' (I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of the pain that I feel and that I fear)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Place your right hand on the spot where there is pain, then wipe it over seven times, and with each wipe say: 'A'udhu bi'izzatillahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajid' (I seek refuge in the might of Allah and His power from the evil of the pain that I feel)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Put something in the hand of the needy person, even if it is only a burnt hoof."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The stray property of a Muslim is an ember of the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A stray animal or a lost item that you find, announce it; do not conceal it and do not make it disappear. If you find its owner, return it to him; otherwise it is the wealth of Allah, which He gives to whomever He wills."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I do not eat the lizard (dabb), but I do not declare it forbidden either."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The hyena is game, so eat it; and if a person in the state of ihram kills it, a mature ram is due from him (as compensation)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The hyena is game, and for it (as compensation) there is a ram."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hospitality is three days; whatever is more than that is charity."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hospitality is three days; whatever is more than that is charity, and every good deed is charity."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hospitality is three days; whatever is more than that is an additional act of kindness."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hospitality is three days; whatever comes after that is charity."
