Hadith Beginning with the Letter Sad (ص)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The owner of a riding animal has more right to its front part (to sit on)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The owner of a riding animal has more right to its front part, except for someone to whom he gives permission."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The angel in charge of the Trumpet has had the Trumpet placed to his mouth since the time he was created, waiting for when he will be commanded to blow into it, so that he may blow."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Everything seeks forgiveness for the person of knowledge, even the fish in the sea."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the morning after Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), the sun rises without rays, as though it were a basin, until it rises high."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ibn Mas'ud has spoken the truth. Your wife and your children are the most deserving of the charity you give to them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever was true to Allah, Allah proved him true."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth: Your wealth and your children are only a trial. I looked at these two little boys walking and stumbling, and I could not restrain myself until I cut short my speech (the sermon) and picked them up."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"You have spoken the truth; the Muslim is the brother of the Muslim."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Charity given in secret extinguishes the anger of the Lord."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Charity given in secret extinguishes the anger of the Lord, maintaining ties of kinship increases one's lifespan, and doing good protects against an evil death."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Sadaqat al-Fitr is one sa' of dates, or one sa' of barley, or two mudds of wheat, on behalf of every young and old, free and slave."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"This is a charity which Allah has bestowed upon you, so accept His charity."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Charity given by a relative to a relative is both charity and the maintaining of kinship ties."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Your young children (who die) are the little creatures of Paradise. One of them will meet his father and take hold of his garment, and he will not let go until Allah admits him and his father into Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah's chosen land on His earth is Sham (Greater Syria), and in it are His chosen ones from among His creation and His servants. And a group from my Ummah will surely enter Paradise with neither reckoning nor punishment upon them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Maintaining ties of kinship increases one's lifespan, and charity given in secret extinguishes the anger of the Lord."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Maintaining ties of kinship, good character and being a good neighbour: these make homes flourish and increase lifespans."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Maintaining ties with relatives is a cause of increase in wealth, of love within the family, and of delay in one's appointed time (an increase in lifespan)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep ties with whoever cuts you off, do good to whoever does evil to you, and speak the truth even if it is against yourself."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray the prayer at its proper time. Then, if you find the imam leading the people in prayer, pray with them (as well). Your (first) prayer has already been secured for you, and otherwise this (second prayer) will be a voluntary prayer for you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray the prayer at its proper time. Then, if you find them (praying), pray with them (as well), and do not say, 'I have already prayed, so I will not pray (again).'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In prayer, recite 'Wash-shamsi wa duhaha' (By the sun and its morning brightness) and surahs like it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Lead the prayer in a manner (as light as) the weakest person can bear, and do not appoint a mu'adhdhin who takes a wage for his adhan."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray two rak'ahs and keep them short. And when one of you comes on Friday while the imam is delivering the sermon, let him pray two rak'ahs and keep them light."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray the Fajr prayer, then refrain from prayer until the sun has risen and become high, for when it rises it rises between the two horns of Satan, and at that time the disbelievers prostrate to it. Then pray, for the prayer at that time is witnessed and attended (by the angels), until the shadow becomes equal to the spear. Then refrain from prayer, for at that time Hell is stoked. Then, when the shadow begins to lengthen (after the zenith), pray, for the prayer at that time is also witnessed and attended (by the angels), until you pray Asr. Then refrain from prayer until the sun sets, for when it sets it sets between the two horns of Satan, and at that time the disbelievers prostrate to it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray as someone bidding farewell would pray, as though you see Him; and if you do not see Him, then He sees you. Despair of what is in the hands of people, and you will live free of need. And beware of anything for which you would have to apologise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray standing, unless you fear drowning."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray standing; if you are not able, then sitting; and if you cannot do even that, then lying on your side."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O people, pray in your homes, for the best prayer is a man's prayer in his home, except for the obligatory prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray the Maghrib prayer as soon as the sun sets; hasten to it before the stars appear."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you mention me, send blessings upon the prophets as well, for they were sent just as I was sent."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Send blessings upon the prophets and messengers of Allah, for Allah sent them just as He sent me."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Send blessings upon me and strive hard in supplication, and say: 'Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammad, wa barik ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad, kama barakta ala Ibrahima wa ali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidun Majid' (O Allah, send Your mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, just as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim; indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray in your homes, and do not turn them into graves."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray in your homes, and do not turn them into graves. Do not make my house (grave) a place of festivity. Send blessings and peace upon me, for your blessings reach me wherever you may be."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray in your homes, and do not abandon voluntary prayers in them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray in the sheepfolds, and do not pray in the resting places of camels."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray in the sheepfolds, and do not pray in the resting places of camels, for they were created from devils."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Pray in the sheepfold and wipe their noses (treat them kindly), for they are among the animals of Paradise."
