«إني لأتوب إلى الله تعالى في اليوم سبعين مرة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I turn in repentance to Allah Almighty seventy times a day."

"Indeed, I enter the prayer intending to make it long, then I hear a child crying, so I shorten my prayer, because I know how deeply distressed his mother becomes at his crying."

«إني لأراكم من ورائي كما أراكم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I see you from behind me just as I see you (in front of me)."

"Indeed, I hope to depart from this world in such a state that none of you will have a claim against me for any wrong I did to him."

"I hope that my ummah will not be so helpless before its Lord that He would not grant them a respite of half a day."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I hope, if Allah wills, that no one who took part in the Battle of Badr and the Treaty of Hudaybiyah will enter Hell."

" إني لأعرف آخر أهل النار خروجا من النار وآخر أهل الجنة دخولا الجنة رجل يؤتى به يوم القيامة فيقال: ¤ اعرضوا عليه صغار ذنوبه وارفعوا عنه كبارها فيقال له: عملت يوم كذا وكذا كذا وكذا وعملت يوم كذا وكذا كذا وكذا فيقول: نعم لا يستطيع أن ينكر وهو مشفق من كبار ذنوبه أن تعرض عليه فيقال له: فإن لك مكان كل سيئة حسنة فيقول: يا رب عملت أشياء لا أراها هاهنا"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I know well the one who will be the last to be taken out of Hell and the last to enter Paradise. A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said: 'Present his minor sins to him and put aside his major ones.' Then it will be said to him: 'On such-and-such a day you did such-and-such things, and on such-and-such a day you did such-and-such deeds?' He will say: 'Yes.' He will not be able to deny it, and all the while he will be fearful of his major sins being presented to him. Then it will be said to him: 'For you, in place of every evil deed, there is a good deed.' On hearing this he will say: 'O my Lord, I did some things that I do not see here.'"

«إني لأعرف أصوات رفقة الأشعريين بالقرآن حين يدخلون بالليل وأعرف منازلهم من أصواتهم بالقرآن بالليل وإن كنت لم أر منازلهم حين نزلوا بالنهار»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I recognise the voices of the company of the Ash'aris reciting the Qur'an when they come in at night, and I know their dwellings from the voices of their Qur'an recitation at night, even if I did not see the places where they encamped during the day."

«إني لأعرف حجرا بمكة كان يسلم علي قبل أن أبعث»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I know a stone in Makkah that used to greet me with salam before I was sent as a prophet."

«إني لأعطي رجالا وأدع من هو أحب إلي منهم لا أعطيه شيئا مخافة أن يكبوا في النار على وجوههم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Surely, I give (wealth) to some men and leave those who are dearer to me than them (and give them nothing), out of fear that they (the ones who are given, if they were not given) might be thrown on their faces into Hell."

«إني لأعلم آخر أهل النار خروجا منها وآخر أهل الجنة دخولا الجنة رجل يخرج من النار حبوا فيقول الله له: اذهب فادخل الجنة فيأتيها فيخيل إليه أنها ملأى فيرجع فيقول: يا رب وجدتها ملأى! فيقول الله له: أذهب فأدخل الجنة فإن لك مثل الدنيا وعشرة أمثالها فيقول: أتسخر بي وأنت الملك؟»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Surely, I know well the one who will be the last to come out of Hell and the last to enter Paradise. He will be a man who comes out of Hell crawling, and Allah Almighty will say to him: 'Go and enter Paradise.' He will come to Paradise and it will seem to him that it is full. He will go back and say: 'O my Lord, I found it full!' Allah Almighty will say to him (again): 'Go and enter Paradise, for indeed you have the like of the world and ten times as much besides.' The man will say in astonishment: 'Are You mocking me, while You are the True King?'"

«إني لأعلم إذا كنت عني راضية وإذا كنت علي غضبى أما إذا كنت عني راضية فإنك تقولين: لا ورب محمد وإذا كنت علي غضبى قلت: لا ورب إبراهيم!»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I know when you are pleased with me and when you are angry with me. When you are pleased with me, you say: 'No, by the Lord of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)!' And when you are angry with me, you say: 'No, by the Lord of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)!'"

«إني لأعلم كلمة لو قالها لذهب عنه ما يجد لو قال: أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم ذهب عنه ما يجد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I know a word which, if this (angry) man were to say it, what he is feeling would leave him. If he says 'A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim' (I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan), his present state will go away."

«إني لأعلم كلمة لا يقولها عبد عند موته إلا كانت نورا لصحيفته وإن جسده وروحه ليجدان لها روحا عند الموت»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I know a word which no servant says at the time of his death except that it becomes a light for his record of deeds, and surely his body and his soul find comfort and ease through that word at the time of death."

«إني لأقوم للصلاة وأنا أريد أن أطول فيها فأسمع بكاء الصبي فأتجوز في صلاتي كراهية أن أشق على أمه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Surely, I stand for the prayer intending to make it long, but then I hear a child crying, so I shorten my prayer, disliking to cause hardship to the child's mother."

«إني لأمزح ولا أقول إلا حقا»

"Indeed, I also joke (in good humour), but I say nothing except what is true and right."

«إني لأنذركموه - يعني الدجال - وما من نبي إلا قد أنذره قومه ولقد أنذره نوح قومه ولكن سأقول لكم فيه قولا لم يقله نبي لقومه: إنه أعور وإن الله ليس بأعور»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I warn you about him (the Dajjal), and there has been no prophet who did not warn his people about him; Nuh (peace be upon him) too warned his people about him. But I will tell you something about him that no prophet told his people: that he (the Dajjal) will be one-eyed, whereas Allah Almighty is certainly not one-eyed."

«إني لأنظر إلى شياطين الجن والإنس قد فروا من عمر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I see the devils among the jinn and mankind fleeing in fear of Umar."

«إني لأنقلب إلى أهلي فأجد التمرة ساقطة على فراشي فأرفعها لآكلها ثم أخشى أن تكون صدقة فألقيها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I return to my family and find a date fallen on my bed, so I pick it up to eat it, but then I fear that it may be a date of charity (sadaqah), so I leave it."

«إني لبعقر حوضي يوم القيامة أذود الناس لأهل اليمن وأضربهم بعصاي حتى يرفض عليهم فسئل عن عرضه؟ فقال: من مقامي إلى عمان شرابه أشد بياضا من اللبن وأحلى من العسل يصب فيه ميزابان يمدانه من الجنة أحدهما من ذهب والآخر من ورق»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, on the Day of Resurrection I will be standing at the center of my Pond; I will push the people back for the sake of the people of Yemen and drive them away with my staff until the water flows for the people of Yemen." He (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the width of the Pond, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its extent is as far as from this place of mine to Amman. Its drink is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Two spouts pour into it from Paradise, supplying it with water; one of them is of gold and the other of silver."
"Indeed, on the Day of Resurrection I will be standing at the center of my Pond; I will push the people back for the sake of the people of Yemen and drive them away with my staff until the water flows for the people of Yemen." He (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the width of the Pond, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its extent is as far as from this place of mine to Amman. Its drink is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Two spouts pour into it from Paradise, supplying it with water; one of them is of gold and the other of silver."
«إني لست مثلكم إني أبيت يطعمني ربي ويسقيني»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I am not like you; I spend the night in such a state that my Lord feeds me and gives me drink."

«إني لكم فرط على الحوض فإياي لا يأتين أحدكم فيذب عني كما يذب البعير الضال فأقول: فيم هذا؟ فيقال: إنك لا تدري ما أحدثوا بعدك فأقول: سحقا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I will be your forerunner (the one who arrives before you) at the Pond of Kawthar, so let none of you come to me in such a state that he is being driven away from me as a stray camel is driven away. I will say: 'What is the matter?' And it will be said to me: 'You do not know what innovations they invented after you.' So I will say: 'Away with them, away with them!'"

«إني لم أبعث لعانا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I was not sent as one who curses."

"Indeed, I was not sent as one who curses; rather, I was sent as a mercy in its entirety."

«إني لم أؤمر أن أنقب على قلوب الناس ولا أشق بطونهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I was not commanded to search out the secrets of people's hearts, nor to cut open their bellies to look inside."

«إني نسيت أن آمرك أن تخمر القرنين فإنه ليس ينبغي أن يكون في البيت شيء يشغل المصلي»

"I forgot to instruct you to cover the two horns (of the sacrificial ram), for there should not be anything in the house that distracts the one who is praying."

«إني نهيت عن زبد المشركين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I have been forbidden from accepting the gifts and presents of the polytheists."

"Indeed, I have been forbidden from killing those who pray."

«إني والله إن شاء الله لا أحلف على يمين فأرى غيرها خيرا منها إلا كفرت عن يميني وأتيت الذي هو خير»

"By Allah! Allah willing, whenever I swear an oath about something and then see greater good in something else, I expiate my oath and do that which is better."

«إني والله ما قمت مقامي لأمر ينفعكم لرغبة ولا لرهبة ولكن تميما الداري أتاني فأخبرني خبرا» منعني القيلولة من الفرح وقرة العين فأحببت أن أنشر عليكم فرح نبيكم ألا إن تميما الداري أخبرني: أن الريح ألجأتهم إلى جزيرة لا يعرفونها فقعدوا في ¤ قوارب السفينة حتى خرجوا إلى الجزيرة فإذا هم بشيء أهلب كثير الشعر قالوا له: ما أنت؟ قالت: أنا الجساسة; قالوا: أخبرينا قالت: [ما أنا بمخبرتكم شيئا ولا سائلتكم شيئا] ولكن هذا الدير قد رمقتموه فأتوه فإن فيه رجلا بالأشواق إلى أن تخبروه ويخبركم فأتوه فدخلوا عليه فإذا هم بشيخ موثق شديد الوثاق [يظهر الحزن شديد التشكي] فقال لهم: من أين؟ قالوا: من الشام قال: ما فعلت العرب؟ قالوا: نحن قوم من العرب عم تسأل؟ قال: ما فعل هذا الرجل الذي خرج فيكم؟ قالوا: خيرا ناوى قوما فأظهره الله عليهم فأمرهم اليوم جميع: إلههم واحد ودينهم واحد قال: ما فعلت عين زغر؟ قالوا: خيرا يسقون منها زرعهم ويستقون منها لسقيهم قال: ما فعل نخل [بئر عمان] وبيسان؟ قالوا: يطعم ثمره كل عام قال: ما فعلت بحيرة طبرية؟ قالوا: تدفق جنباتها من كثرة الماء; [فزفر ثلاث زفرات] ثم قال: لو انفلت من وثاقي هذا لم أدع أرضا إلا وطئتها برجلي هاتين إلا طيبة ليس لي عليها سبيل [إلى هذا انتهى فرحي] هذه طيبة والذي نفسي بيده ما فيها طريق ضيق ولا واسع ولا سهل ولا جبل إلا وعليه ملك شاهر سيفه إلى يوم القيامة"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"By Allah! I have not stood in this place to encourage you towards anything or to frighten you; rather, Tamim ad-Dari came to me and gave me a piece of news which, out of joy and delight, kept me from my midday rest (qaylulah), so I wished to share with you the joy of your Prophet. Listen! Tamim ad-Dari told me that a contrary wind drove them to an island they did not know, so they sat in the small boats of the ship until they came out onto the island. There they encountered a creature that was very hairy. They asked it: 'What are you?' It replied: 'I am al-Jassasah.' They said: 'Give us some news.' It said: 'I will neither tell you anything nor ask you anything; but go to this monastery which you can see, for in it there is a man who is eagerly waiting for you to tell him something and for him to tell you something.' So they went to him, and when they entered, there was an old man bound with extremely firm fetters, showing intense grief and great distress. He asked them: 'Where have you come from?' They replied: 'From Syria (Sham).' He asked: 'How are the Arabs?' They said: 'We are people of the Arabs; what are you asking about?' He said: 'How is this man who has appeared among you?' They said: 'Well; he fought against a people and Allah granted him victory over them. Today their affair is united: their God is one and their religion is one.' He asked: 'How is the spring of Zughar?' They said: 'Very well; people irrigate their crops from it and drink water from it.' He asked: 'How are the well of Amman and the date palms of Baysan?' They said: 'They bear fruit every year.' He asked: 'How is the Lake of Tiberias?' They said: 'Its banks are overflowing because of the abundance of water.' At this he heaved three heavy sighs and then said: 'If I am freed from this captivity of mine, I will not leave any land without treading it with these two feet of mine, except Taybah (Madinah), for I will have no power over it.' Here my joy reaches its peak. This is Taybah, and by the One in Whose Hand is my soul! There is not a single road in it, narrow or wide, nor any plain or mountain, except that upon it an angel stands guard with his sword drawn until the Day of Resurrection."

«إني وإن داعبتكم فلا أقول إلا حقا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, even though I jest (joke) with you, I say nothing but the truth."

«إني لا أخيس بالعهد ولا أحبس البرد»

"Indeed, I neither break a covenant nor imprison envoys."

«إني لا أدري ما قدر بقائي فيكم فاقتدوا باللذين من بعدي: أبي بكر وعمر وتمسكوا بهدي عمار وما حدثكم ابن مسعود فصدقوه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I do not know how long I will remain among you, so after me follow these two (persons), namely Abu Bakr and Umar; hold firmly to the way of Ammar; and whatever Ibn Mas'ud narrates to you, accept it as true."

«إني لا أشهد على جور»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, I do not bear witness to oppression (and injustice)."

"Indeed, I do not shake hands with (non-mahram) women."

«إني لا أقبل هدية مشرك»

"Indeed, I do not accept the gift of a polytheist."

«أنهى عن كل مسكر أسكر عن الصلاة»

"I forbid every intoxicant that (by clouding the mind) makes a person heedless of the prayer."

«أنهاكم عن الزور»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I forbid you from falsehood (and false speech)."
