Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A servant will be with the one he loves."
Imam Ahmad, and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, recorded it; the chain of Imam Ahmad is hasan (good).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); he was an elderly man. He asked: O Muhammad, when will the Hour come? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What have you prepared for it? He replied: By the One who sent you with the truth, I have not prepared much for it in the form of prayer and fasting, except that I love Allah and His Messenger. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then you will be with the one you love." The narrator says: Then that man got up, went and began to urinate (in a corner of) the mosque, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Let him be! Perhaps he is one of the people of Paradise. (The narrator says:) Then water was poured over his urine. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: In the "Sahih" only this part of this report is mentioned: "A person will be with the one he loves."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Sam'an al-Maliki, and he is majhul (unknown); Imam Abu Zur'ah declared him da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), I love you. The narrator says: I think he said these words three times: By Allah, I love you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Who is this person swearing an oath, who is swearing an oath about something? The man submitted: O Messenger of Allah, it is I. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go! You will be with the one you love. The burden of the (sins) you have earned will be upon you, and you will receive the reward of the (good) for which you hoped for reward."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Sari bin Isma'il, and he is matruk (abandoned).

The Prophet gave him no answer until, when he had finished the prayer, he called for him; he found him in one of the houses of the Ansar and said to him: Why did you ask about the Hour? He replied: I wanted to know when it will come. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What have you prepared for it? He submitted: I have not prepared much for it in the form of prayer, fasting or charity, but I love Allah and His Messenger. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then you will be with the one you love."

He extended his hand towards the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his blessed hand over it. Sayyiduna Safwan (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted to him: O Messenger of Allah, I love you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person will be with the one he loves."

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A person will receive the reward of that for which he hoped for reward, and the burden of the (sin) he earned will be upon him; a person will be with the one he loves; and whoever dies on the straight path will be counted among its people." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The author of "al-Nihayah" stated: "Dhunaba al-tariq" means the middle (that is, straight) path, and it is the root of "dhanab".
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat in abridged form; its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Bakr al-Saksaki, and he is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Imam Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Whoever loves us for the sake of the world: the worldly person is loved by the righteous and the sinful (people of every kind); and whoever loves us for the sake of Allah Almighty, on the Day of Resurrection we and he will be like these two (fingers)." He said this while pointing with his index finger and middle finger.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy despite the weakness found in some of them.
