بَابُ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَحَدًا فَلْيُعْلِمْهُ .

عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ : أَنَّ أَبَا سَالِمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيَّ أَتَى إِلَى أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ فَقَالَ : إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ يَقُولُ : إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِذَا أَحَبَّ أَحَدُكُمْ صَاحِبَهُ فَلْيَأْتِهِ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ فَلْيُخْبِرْهُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ لِلَّهِ " . وَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ فِي مَنْزِلِكَ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Yazid bin Abi Habib says: Abu Salim al-Jayshani came to Abu Umayyah at his house and said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) say that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When a person loves his companion, let him come to him at his house and tell him that he loves him for the sake of Allah Almighty." (Then Abu Salim al-Jayshani said:) That is why I have come to your house.

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، فَقَالَ : " أَعْلَمْتَهُ بِذَلِكَ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : لَا . قَالَ : " فَأَعْلِمْهُ " . فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ فِي اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَحَبَّكَ الَّذِي أَحْبَبْتَنِي لَهُ ، فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ : " أَمَا إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ ذَكَرَهُ أَجْرٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sarjis says: I submitted to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): I love Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Have you told him this? I replied: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Tell him! The narrator says: I met Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: I love you for the sake of Allah Almighty. He said: May the One for whose sake you love me love you too. The narrator says: I went back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him about this, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever mentions it (that is, whoever tells another, 'I love you for the sake of Allah Almighty') will receive a reward."

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا أَنَا جَالِسٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ وَلَّى عَنْهُ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أُحِبُّ هَذَا . قَالَ : " هَلْ أَعْلَمْتَهُ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : لَا . قَالَ : " فَأَعْلِمْ ذَاكَ أَخَاكَ " . فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَأَخَذْتُ بِمَنْكِبِهِ وَقُلْتُ : وَاللَّهِ ، إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ فِي اللَّهِ ، وَقَالَ هُوَ : وَإِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ فِي اللَّهِ ،وَقُلْتُ : لَوْلَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُعْلِمَكَ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، وَحَسَّانَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَكِلَاهُمَا ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Once I was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came to him, gave the greeting of peace and then left. I submitted: O Messenger of Allah, I love this man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Have you told him? I submitted: No. He said: Tell your brother this! The narrator says: I went to that man, greeted him with peace, then took hold of his shoulder and said: By Allah, I love you for the sake of Allah. That man said: I too love you for the sake of Allah. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I said: Had the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) not ordered me to tell you about this, I would not have done so.

وَعَنْ وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ وَرَجُلٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ لِلَّهِ . قَالَ : " أَعْلَمْتَهُ ذَاكَ ؟ " . قَالَ : لَا . قَالَ : " قُمْ فَأَعْلِمْهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِسَنَدَيْنِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Wahshi bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man passed by, and a man who was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah, I love this man (that is, the one who has just passed by) for the sake of Allah Almighty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Have you told him this? He submitted: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Get up and (go and) tell him.

وَعَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " أَبَدِ الْمَوَدَّةَ لِمَنْ وَادَدْتَ ; فَإِنَّهَا هِيَ أَثْبَتُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Express your love to the one you love, for in this way love becomes firmer."
