Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18036

Sayyiduna Wahshi bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man passed by, and a man who was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah, I love this man (that is, the one who has just passed by) for the sake of Allah Almighty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Have you told him this? He submitted: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Get up and (go and) tell him.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains; the narrators of one of them are thiqat (trustworthy).
