وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ : هَاجَرَ أَبِي صَفْوَانُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَبَايَعَهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ ، فَمَدَّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَدَهُ فَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهُ صَفْوَانُ : إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الثَّلَاثَةِ ، وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْمُرَائِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Abd al-Rahman bin Safwan bin Qudamah says: My father, Sayyiduna Safwan (may Allah be pleased with him), migrated to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and accepted Islam at the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He extended his hand towards the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his blessed hand over it. Sayyiduna Safwan (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted to him: O Messenger of Allah, I love you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person will be with the one he loves."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in all three of his books; its chain contains a narrator, Musa bin Maymun al-Mura'i, and he is da'if (weak).
