Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty is Gentle and He loves gentleness, and He grants for gentleness what He does not grant for harshness."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and Abu Ya'la recorded it. No one has declared the narrator Abu Khalifah weak, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: from this Companion, in the Sahih,
this narration is recorded with only these words: "Whoever is deprived of gentleness is deprived of good."

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever acts with deliberation reaches the right result or comes close to it, and whoever acts in haste errs or comes close to it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. He recorded it from his teacher Bakr bin Sahl, who is muqarib al-hal (of middling standing); al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared him da'if (weak). Another narrator is Ibn Lahi'ah, and there is weakness in him too. Before this, the hadith of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) has passed concerning leniency in buying and selling, in the Book of Sales.
