Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12641

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever gentleness is in, it adorns it, and whatever harshness is in, it disfigures it. Indeed, Allah Almighty is Gentle and He loves gentleness."
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Kathir bin Habib, whom Ibn Abi Hatim declared thiqah (trustworthy); there is some weakness in him. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
