Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12640

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty is Gentle. He loves gentleness, and He grants for gentleness what He does not grant for harshness."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. The narrators of one of al-Bazzar's two chains are thiqat (trustworthy), and there is disagreement about some of its narrators.
