وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الرِّفْقُ يُمْنٌ ، وَالْخُرْقُ شُؤْمٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ عُرْفَانَ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Gentleness is blessing, and harshness is ill omen."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Mu'alla bin Irfan, who is matruk (abandoned).
