Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12647

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty loves gentleness and is pleased with it, and He helps through gentleness in a way that He does not help through harshness."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Sadaqah bin Abdullah al-Samin, whom Abu Hatim al-Razi declared thiqah (trustworthy), and the majority declared him da'if (weak). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
