Hadith Beginning with the Letter Qaf (ق)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When you gave birth to your child, you became free (from your waiting period)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Paradise was brought so near to me that, had I dared to reach for it, I would have brought you a cluster from its fruits; and Hell was brought so near to me that I said: 'O Lord, am I with them too?' Then (suddenly) I saw a woman being clawed by a cat. I asked: 'What is her case?' It was said: 'She kept it (the cat) confined until it died of hunger; she neither fed it nor let it go so that it could eat the vermin of the earth.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Just now, since I led you in prayer, I saw Paradise and Hell presented before me in the direction of this wall; I have never seen the like of this day in good and evil."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah Almighty has had mercy on her because of her compassion for her two sons."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"You have asked Allah for something concerning appointed life spans, numbered days and apportioned provisions; none of them will come sooner than its time, nor will any of them be delayed beyond its time. Had you asked Allah to protect you from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave, that would have been better and more excellent for you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah Almighty was greatly pleased (He marvelled) at how the two of you treated your guest tonight."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have exempted horses and slaves (from zakah), so now bring the zakah of silver (money). Riqqah means minted dirhams. In every forty dirhams there is one dirham (of zakah), and in one hundred and ninety (dirhams) there is nothing; then when they reach two hundred, there are five dirhams due on them, and whatever exceeds that is according to the same rate. In sheep and goats, in every forty there is one sheep, and if there are only thirty-nine, nothing is due on them. In cattle, in every thirty there is a tabi' (a one-year-old calf), and in forty a musinnah (a two-year-old heifer), and nothing is due on working animals. In twenty-five camels there are five sheep, and if they increase by one, there is a bint makhad (a two-year-old she-camel) due, and if there is no bint makhad, then a male ibn labun (a three-year-old male camel), until they reach thirty-five. When they increase by one, there is a bint labun (a three-year-old she-camel) due, up to forty-five. When they increase by one, there is a hiqqah (a four-year-old she-camel ready for the stud camel) due, up to sixty. When they reach ninety-one, there are two hiqqahs (four-year-old she-camels ready for the stud camel) due, up to one hundred and twenty. If the camels are more than that, then in every fifty there is one hiqqah. (Out of fear of zakah,) combined (property) is not to be separated, nor is separate (property) to be combined. In zakah, no decrepit animal is to be taken, nor a defective one, nor a billy goat, unless the zakah collector himself wishes (to take it). In produce, whatever is watered by rivers or by the sky (rain), a tenth is due, and whatever is irrigated with a bucket, a twentieth (half a tenth) is due."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"We have completed the prayer, so whoever wishes to sit for the sermon may sit, and whoever wishes to leave may leave."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the nations that passed before you there were people who were spoken to (by the angels) (muhaddath); if there is any such person in my Ummah, it is Umar bin al-Khattab."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I used to dislike that you should say: 'Whatever Allah and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will'; rather say: 'Whatever Allah wills, then what Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) wills.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I had forbidden you from visiting graves, but now Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has been given permission to visit his mother's grave, so do visit graves, for they remind you of the Hereafter."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah Almighty wrote the destinies fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earths."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When I came to Madinah, the people of Madinah had two days on which they used to play during the time of Ignorance. (So I said:) Allah Almighty has given you in their place two days better than them: the day of Eid al-Fitr and the day of Eid al-Adha (sacrifice)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Put Quraysh in front and do not go ahead of them; learn from Quraysh and do not teach them. Were it not that I fear Quraysh would become arrogant, I would tell them what rank the best of them have in the sight of Allah Almighty."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Put Quraysh in front and do not go ahead of them; learn from them and do not teach them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Put Quraysh in front and do not go ahead of them. Were it not that I fear Quraysh would become arrogant, I would tell them what rank they have in the sight of Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Lead him by his hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Bring it near (serve it), for it has reached its proper place (its due time)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Bring it near (eat it), for a house in which there is vinegar is not lacking in condiment."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"An ant bit one of the prophets, so he ordered that the whole colony of ants be burned. Thereupon Allah Almighty revealed to him: 'Because one ant bit you, you have burned a whole nation that glorified (Allah)?!'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Quraysh, the Ansar, Juhaynah, Muzaynah, Aslam, Ashja' and Ghifar (all of these) are my allies; they have no patron other than Allah and His Messenger."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Quraysh will be the rulers of the people, in both good and evil, until the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Quraysh are the rightful holders of this matter (the caliphate), so the righteous among the people follow their righteous, and the wicked among the people follow their wicked."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Trim the moustaches and let the beards grow."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Returning (from the journey) is also equal to a military expedition."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Stay at these sacred sites of yours (the places of Hajj), for you are upon one of the inheritances of your father Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say: I believe in Allah, then remain steadfast upon it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak' and 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind' - people have not sought refuge with anything better than these two."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say: As-salamu alaykum (peace be upon you), may I come in?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say: O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being and provide for me, for these (supplications) gather for you both your world and your Hereafter."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart and from the evil of my semen (desire)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say: O Allah, I have wronged myself greatly, and none forgives sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from Yourself and have mercy on me; indeed You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say: O Allah, guide me and keep me on the right course. And by guidance, call to mind your being guided along the path, and by the right course, the straight aim of an arrow."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say: O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Lord of everything and its Sovereign! I bear witness that there is no true god except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self and from the evil of Satan and his polytheism. Recite this (supplication) in the morning, in the evening and when you lie down in your bed."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Say just as they (the callers to prayer) say, then when you have finished, ask and you will be given."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Say: He is Allah, the One' (Surah al-Ikhlas) is equal to one third of the Qur'an."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Say: He is Allah, the One' is equal to one third of the Qur'an, and 'Say: O disbelievers!' is equal to one quarter of the Qur'an."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Recite Surah al-Ikhlas and the Mu'awwidhatayn (Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Nas) three times each in the evening and the morning; they will suffice you against everything."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The heart of an old man remains young in the love of two things: love of life and love of wealth."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The heart of an old man remains young in the love of two things: a long life and abundant wealth."
