«رأى عيسى ابن مريم رجلا يسرق فقال له: أسرقت؟ قال: كلا والذي لا إله إلا هو فقال عيسى: آمنت بالله وكذبت عيني»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) saw a man stealing and asked him: 'Did you steal?' He said: 'Not at all, by the One besides whom there is no true god!' So Isa (peace be upon him) said: 'I believe in Allah and I deny my own eye.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"My mother saw (in a dream) as though a light came out of her, by which the palaces of Syria (al-Sham) were illuminated."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The head of disbelief is towards the east. Pride and arrogance are found among the owners of horses and camels, that is, the loud-voiced people of wabar (the nomadic bedouins), and tranquillity is found among the owners of sheep and goats."

«رأس الكفر هاهنا من حيث يطلع قرن الشيطان» - يعني المشرق -
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The head of disbelief is from here, from where the horn of Satan rises (that is, from the east)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The dream of a believer is one part of the forty parts of prophethood. It (the dream) remains like a bird (suspended in the air) as long as it is not related; when it is related, it falls. So do not relate it except to an intelligent person or to someone who loves you (a well-wisher)."

[رأيت إبراهيم ليلة أسري بي فقال: يا محمد أقرئ أمتك السلام وأخبرهم أن الجنة طيبة التربة عذبة الماء وأنها قيعان وغراسها: سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله]
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the night I was taken on the Night Journey (Mi'raj), I saw Ibrahim (peace be upon him). He said: 'O Muhammad, convey my greetings of peace to your Ummah and tell them that the soil of Paradise is pure and its water is sweet, that it is a level plain, and that its plants are: Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah), wal-hamdu lillah (and praise be to Allah), wa la ilaha illa Allah (and there is no god but Allah), wallahu akbar (and Allah is the Greatest) and wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (and there is no power and no strength except with Allah).'"

" رأيت الليلة رجلين أتياني فأخذا بيدي فأخرجاني إلى الأرض المقدسة فإذا رجل جالس ورجل قائم على رأسه بيده كلوب من حديد فيدخله في شدقه فيشقه حتى يخرجه من قفاه ثم يخرجه فيدخله في شدقه الآخر ويلتئم هذا الشدق فهو يفعل ذلك به فقلت: ما هذا؟ قالا: انطلق; فانطلقت معهما فإذا رجل مستلق على قفاه ورجل قائم بيده فهر أو صخرة فيشدخ بها رأسه فيتدهده الحجر فإذا ذهب ليأخذه عاد رأسه كما كان فيصنع مثل ذلك فقلت: ما هذا؟ قالا: انطلق; فانطلقت معهما فإذا بيت مبني على بناء التنور أعلاه ضيق وأسفله واسع يوقد تحته نار فيه رجال ونساء عراة فإذا أوقدت ارتفعوا حتى يكادوا أن يخرجوا فإذا أخمدت رجعوا فيها فقلت: ما هذا؟ قالا: انطلق; فانطلقت فإذا نهر من دم فيه رجل وعلى شاطئ النهر رجل بين يديه حجارة فيقبل الرجل الذي في النهر فإذا دنا ليخرج رمى في فيه حجرا فرجع إلى مكانه فهو يفعل ذلك به فقلت: ما هذا؟ قالا: انطلق; فانطلقت فإذا روضة خضراء وإذا فيها شجرة عظيمة وإذا شيخ في أصلها حوله صبيان وإذا رجل قريب منه بين يديه نار فهو يحشها ويوقدها فصعدا بي في شجرة فأدخلاني دارا لم أر دارا قط أحسن منها فإذا فيها رجال شيوخ وشباب وفيها نساء وصبيان فأخرجاني منها فصعدا بي في الشجرة فأدخلاني دارا هي أحسن وأفضل فيها شيوخ وشباب فقلت لهما: إنكما قد طوفتماني منذ الليلة فأخبراني عما رأيت قالا: نعم; أما الرجل الأول الذي رأيت فإنه رجل كذاب يكذب الكذبة فتحمل عنه في الآفاق فهو يصنع به ما رأيت إلى يوم القيامة ثم يصنع الله تعالى به ما شاء; وأما الرجل الذي رأيت مستلقيا على قفاه فرجل آتاه الله القرآن فنام عنه بالليل ولم يعمل بما فيه بالنهار فهو يفعل به ما رأيت إلى يوم القيامة; وأما الذي رأيت في التنور فهم الزناة; وأما الذي رأيت في النهر فذاك آكل الربا; وأما الشيخ الذي رأيت في أصل الشجرة فذاك إبراهيم عليه السلام; وأما الصبيان الذين رأيت فأولاد الناس; وأما الرجل الذي رأيت يوقد النار فذلك خازن النار وتلك النار; وأما الدار التي دخلت أولا فدار عامة المؤمنين; وأما الدار الأخرى فدار الشهداء; وأنا جبريل وهذا ميكائيل; ثم قالا لي: ارفع رأسك فرفعت فإذا كهيئة السحاب فقالا لي: وتلك دارك فقلت لهما: دعاني أدخل داري فقالا: إنه قد بقي لك عمر لم تستكمله فلو استكملته دخلت دارك"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Last night I saw (in a dream) that two men came to me. They took me by the hand and took me out to the Sacred Land. There was a man sitting, and a man standing over his head with an iron hook in his hand. He would put it into his cheek and tear it until he brought it out at the back of his neck, then he would take it out and put it into his other cheek, and this (first) cheek would heal. He kept doing this to him. I asked: 'What is this?' They both said: 'Go on.' So I went on with them, and there was a man lying on his back and a man standing over his head with a large stone or a rock in his hand. He would crush the (lying man's) head with it, and the stone would roll away; when he went to fetch it, his head would return to as it was before, and he would do the same again. I asked: 'What is this?' They both said: 'Go on.' So I went on with them, and there was a house built like an oven, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, with a fire being lit beneath it. In it were naked men and women. When the fire blazed up, they rose until they were almost coming out, and when it died down, they went back into it. I asked: 'What is this?' They both said: 'Go on.' So I went on, and there was a river of blood with a man in it, and on the bank of the river stood a man with stones in front of him. The man in the river would come forward, and when he came close to getting out, (the man on the bank) would throw a stone into his mouth and he would go back to his place. He kept doing this to him. I asked: 'What is this?' They both said: 'Go on.' So I went on, and there was a green garden, and in it a huge tree. At its root was an old man with some children around him, and near him was a man with a fire in front of him, which he was fanning and kindling. Then the two of them took me up the tree and brought me into a house; I have never seen a better house than it. In it were old men, young men, women and children. Then they took me out of it, went up the tree with me and brought me into another house that was even better and more excellent than it; in it were old men and young men. I said to them both: 'You have taken me around a great deal tonight; now tell me the reality of what I have seen.' They said: 'Very well. As for the first man you saw, he is a liar who tells a lie and that lie spreads throughout the world. What you saw will be done to him until the Day of Resurrection, then Allah Almighty will do with him whatever He wills. As for the man you saw lying on his back, he is a man to whom Allah gave the Qur'an, but he slept away from it at night and did not act upon it by day. What you saw will be done to him until the Day of Resurrection. Those you saw in the oven are the adulterers (men and women). The one you saw in the river is the one who consumed usury (riba). The old man you saw at the root of the tree is Ibrahim (peace be upon him). The children you saw are the offspring of the people. The man you saw kindling the fire is the keeper of Hell, and that (which you saw) was Hell itself. The house you entered first is the house of the believers in general, and the other house is the house of the martyrs. I am Jibril and this is Mika'il.' Then they both said to me: 'Raise your head.' I raised it, and (above) there was something like a cloud. They said: 'That is your house.' I said to them: 'Let me enter my house.' They said: 'There still remains for you a lifespan that you have not completed; had you completed it, you would have entered your house.'"

"I saw the angels washing Hamzah bin Abd al-Muttalib and Hanzalah bin al-Rahib."

"I saw Jibril; he has six hundred wings."

"I saw a young man and a young woman (together), and I feared for them both from Satan (and his whisperings)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw Amr bin Amir al-Khuza'i dragging his intestines in the Fire, and he was the first to start (the custom of) setting loose the sa'ibah and slitting the ears of the bahirah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw Amr bin Luhayy bin Qam'ah bin Khindif, the brother of Banu Ka'b, dragging his intestines in the Fire."

«رأيت عيسى وموسى وإبراهيم فأما عيسى فأحمر جعد عريض الصدر وأما موسى فآدم جسيم سبط كأنه من رجال الزط وأما إبراهيم فانظروا إلى صاحبكم» - يعني نفسه -
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw Isa, Musa and Ibrahim (peace be upon them). Isa was of reddish complexion, with curly hair and a broad chest. Musa was of brown complexion, heavily built, with straight hair, as though he were one of the men of the Zutt. As for Ibrahim, look at your companion (that is, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself)."
"I saw Isa, Musa and Ibrahim (peace be upon them). Isa was of reddish complexion, with curly hair and a broad chest. Musa was of brown complexion, heavily built, with straight hair, as though he were one of the men of the Zutt. As for Ibrahim, look at your companion (that is, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself)."
«رأيت في المنام أني أهاجر من مكة إلى أرض بها نخل فذهب وهلي إلى أنها اليمامة أو هجر فإذا هي المدينة يثرب ورأيت في رؤياي هذه أني هززت سيفا فانقطع صدره فإذا هو ما أصيب من المؤمنين يوم أحد ثم هززته أخرى فعاد أحسن ما كان فإذا هو ما جاء الله به من الفتح واجتماع المؤمنين ورأيت فيها بقرا والله خير فإذا هم النفر من المؤمنين يوم أحد وإذا الخير ما جاء الله به من الخير بعد وثواب الصدق الذي آتانا الله بعد يوم بدر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw in a dream that I was emigrating from Makkah to a land with date palms. My thought went to its being al-Yamamah or Hajar, but it turned out to be al-Madinah, Yathrib. And I saw in this same dream that I brandished a sword and its front part broke; that (pointed) to the losses suffered by the believers on the day of Uhud. Then I brandished it again and it became better than it had been; that (pointed) to the victory and the gathering of the believers that Allah granted. And I saw cows in it, and Allah is good. Those (cows) were the group of believers (who were martyred) on the day of Uhud, and the good was what Allah granted afterwards, that is, the reward of truthfulness that Allah granted us after the day of Badr."

«رأيت قوما ممن يركب ظهر هذا البحر كالملوك على الأسرة»

"I saw some people riding upon the surface of this sea, like kings upon thrones."

«رأيت كأن امرأة سوداء ثائرة الرأس خرجت من المدينة حتى نزلت مهيعة فأولتها أن وباء المدينة نقل إليها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw in a dream as though a black woman with dishevelled hair came out of Madinah until she settled at Mahya'ah (a place). I interpreted it to mean that the epidemic of Madinah had been transferred to it (Mahya'ah)."

«رأيت كأني الليلة في دار عقبة بن رافع وأتيت بتمر من تمر ابن طاب فأولت أن لنا الرفعة في الدنيا والعاقبة في الآخرة وأن ديننا قد طاب»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw last night as though I were in the house of Uqbah bin Rafi', and I was brought some dates of the Ibn Tab variety. I interpreted it to mean that we will have elevation in this world and a good end in the Hereafter, and that our religion has become pure."

"I saw as though I were in a strong coat of mail, and I saw cows being slaughtered. I interpreted the strong coat of mail as Madinah and the cows as a group (of martyrs), and Allah is good."

«رأيت ليلة أسري بي موسى رجلا آدم طوالا جعدا كأنه من رجال شنوءة ورأيت عيسى رجلا مربوع الخلق إلى الحمرة والبياض سبط الرأس ورأيت مالكا خازن النار والدجال»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the night I was taken on the Night Journey (Mi'raj), I saw Musa (peace be upon him). He was of brown complexion, tall, with curly hair, as though he were one of the men of the tribe of Shanu'ah. And I saw Isa (peace be upon him); he was of medium height, of a reddish-white complexion, with straight hair. And I also saw Malik, the keeper of Hell, and the Dajjal."
"On the night I was taken on the Night Journey (Mi'raj), I saw Musa (peace be upon him). He was of brown complexion, tall, with curly hair, as though he were one of the men of the tribe of Shanu'ah. And I saw Isa (peace be upon him); he was of medium height, of a reddish-white complexion, with straight hair. And I also saw Malik, the keeper of Hell, and the Dajjal."
"رأيتني دخلت الجنة فإذا أنا بالرميصاء امرأة أبي طلحة وسمعت خشفا من أمامي فقلت: من هذا يا جبريل؟ قال: هذا بلال ورأيت قصرا أبيض بفنائه جارية فقلت: لمن هذا القصر؟ قالوا: لعمر بن الخطاب فأردت أن أدخله فأنظر إليه فذكرت غيرتك"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw that I entered Paradise, and there I found al-Rumaysa (Umm Sulaym), the wife of Abu Talhah. I heard the sound of footsteps ahead of me and asked: 'Who is this, O Jibril?' He said: 'This is Bilal.' And I saw a white palace with a girl in its courtyard. I asked: 'Whose palace is this?' It was said: 'It belongs to Umar bin al-Khattab.' I wished to enter it and look at it, but I remembered your jealousy (O Umar)."
"I saw that I entered Paradise, and there I found al-Rumaysa (Umm Sulaym), the wife of Abu Talhah. I heard the sound of footsteps ahead of me and asked: 'Who is this, O Jibril?' «رباط شهر خير من صيام دهر ومن مات مرابطا في سبيل الله أمن من الفزع الأكبر وغدي عليه برزقه وريح من الجنة ويجرى عليه أجر المرابط حتى يبعثه الله»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Guarding the frontier (ribat) for one month is better than fasting for a lifetime. Whoever dies while guarding the frontier in the path of Allah is kept safe from the greatest terror (the horror of the Day of Resurrection); his provision and the fragrance of Paradise are brought to him morning and evening, and the reward of the frontier guard (murabit) continues to be recorded for him until Allah resurrects him."

A space in Paradise the size of the whip of one of you is better than the world and everything on it. And a single going out by the servant in the path of Allah, in the evening or in the morning, is better than the world and everything on it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Guarding the frontier for a day and a night is better than fasting for a month and standing (in night prayer) during it. If he dies while guarding the frontier, the deeds he used to do continue (to be credited) for him, his provision also continues, and he is kept safe from the one who puts to trial."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"It may be that a dishevelled person, who is pushed away from doors, were he to swear an oath by Allah, Allah would fulfil it."

«رب أعني ولا تعن علي وانصرني ولا تنصر علي وامكر لي ولا تمكر علي واهدني ويسر هداي إلي وانصرني على من بغى علي; اللهم اجعلني لك شاكرا لك ذاكرا لك راهبا لك مطواعا إليك مخبتا إليك أواها منيبا; رب تقبل توبتي واغسل حوبتي وأجب دعوتي وثبت حجتي واهد قلبي وسدد لساني واسلل سخيمة قلبي»

"O my Lord, help me and do not help (anyone) against me; grant me victory and do not grant (anyone) victory over me; plan for me and do not let (anyone's) plan be against me; guide me and make guidance easy for me; and help me against whoever transgresses against me. O Allah, make me grateful to You, remembering You, fearing You, obedient to You, humble before You, sighing (in devotion) and turning to You. O my Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my supplication, make my proof firm, guide my heart, make my tongue upright and remove the rancour from my heart."

"It may be that a person with two worn-out garments, who is paid no attention, were he to swear an oath by Allah, Allah would fulfil it."
