Hadith Beginning with the Letter Zay (ز)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah increase your eagerness, but do not repeat (this in future)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"My Lord has granted me an additional prayer, and it is the witr. Its time is from the Isha prayer until the break of dawn."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man went to a village to visit a brother of his, so Allah appointed an angel for him on his way. He asked: Where do you intend to go? He said: To visit a brother of mine who is in this village. The angel asked: Has he done you any favour which you wish to increase? He said: No, rather I love him only for the sake of Allah. The angel said: Then I am sent to you by Allah (to tell you) that Allah loves you just as you loved him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Visit occasionally, and love will increase."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fasten your (open) garment, even if only with a thorn."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Zakat al-Fitr is a means of purification for the fasting person from idle and indecent talk, and food for the poor. Whoever pays it before the (Eid) prayer, it is an accepted zakah; and whoever pays it after the prayer, it is one charity among ordinary charities."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Zakat al-Fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim, free or slave, male or female: one sa' of dates or one sa' of barley."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Zamzam water is food that satisfies hunger and a cure for sickness."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Shroud them with their blood, for there is no wound received in the way of Allah except that it will come on the Day of Resurrection bleeding, its colour the colour of blood and its fragrance the fragrance of musk."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Weigh, and give (extra) so the scale tips."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The fornication of the eyes is the (lustful) look."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The fornication of the tongue is (indecent) speech."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Visit the graves, for they remind you of the Hereafter."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Visit the graves, and do not utter indecent words (there)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah provide you with piety as your provision for the journey, forgive your sin, and make good easy for you wherever you may be."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beautify the Qur'an with your voices."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beautify the Qur'an with your voices, for a good voice increases the beauty of the Qur'an."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Raisins and dates (mixed together) are wine."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Zubayr is the son of my paternal aunt and my disciple (special helper) from my Ummah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Zakah is (due) in these four things: wheat, barley, raisins and dates."
