Hadith Beginning with the Letter Dhal (ذ)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion and with Muhammad as Messenger has tasted the sweetness of faith."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Defend your honour with your wealth."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Slaughtering a man (i.e. ruining him) is praising him to his face."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The children of the Muslims (who die in childhood) are looked after by Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let the people carry on doing (good) deeds, for Paradise has one hundred levels, and between every two levels is a distance like that between the heaven and the earth. Al-Firdaws is the highest of them in level and the most central, above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful, and from it the rivers of Paradise gush forth. So when you ask Allah, ask Him for al-Firdaws."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Leave me alone as long as I leave you alone (i.e. do not ask unnecessary questions), for those before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets. So when I command you to do something, do as much of it as you are able, and when I forbid you from something, leave it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The slaughter of the unborn young (in the womb of a slaughtered animal) is included in the slaughter of its mother."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The purification of (the hide of) a dead animal is by its tanning."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The purification of every hide is by its tanning."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"While I was in prayer, I remembered that we had a piece of gold ore with us, and I disliked that it should remain with us overnight, so I ordered that it be distributed."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The protection (granted) by the Muslims is one. So if anyone among them grants protection over them, do not violate it, for every betrayer will have a banner by which he will be recognised on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Today those who were not fasting have taken away the reward."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The people of the emigration (Hijrah) have (already) taken away its reward."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Prophethood has ended, so there is no prophethood after me except the mubashshirat (glad tidings): (that is) a righteous dream which a man sees himself or which is seen for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Prophethood has ended, and the mubashshirat (glad tidings) remain."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The (extra length of a) woman's hem should be a hand-span."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep your hem a forearm's length."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Every fly is in the Fire, except the honeybee."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gold for gold, whether as ore or as coin; silver for silver, whether as ore or as coin; wheat for wheat, two mudds for two mudds; barley for barley, two mudds for two mudds; dates for dates, two mudds for two mudds; and salt for salt, two mudds for two mudds. Whoever gives more or takes more has engaged in usury (riba). There is no harm in selling gold for silver while the silver is more, provided it is hand to hand (on the spot); on credit it is not permitted. And there is no harm in selling wheat for barley while the barley is more, provided it is hand to hand (on the spot); on credit it is not permitted."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gold for gold, like for like; silver for silver, like for like; dates for dates, like for like; wheat for wheat, like for like; salt for salt, like for like; and barley for barley, like for like. Whoever gives more or takes more has engaged in usury (riba). Sell gold for silver however you wish, provided it is hand to hand, and sell barley for dates however you wish, provided it is hand to hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gold for gold, silver for silver, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, dates for dates and salt for salt must be equal for equal, like for like, hand to hand. When these kinds differ, then sell as you wish, provided it is hand to hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gold for gold, silver for silver, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, dates for dates and salt for salt must be equal for equal and hand to hand. Whoever gives more or asks for more has consumed usury (riba), and the taker and the giver are equal (in this sin)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gold for gold, weight for weight, equal for equal; and silver for silver, weight for weight, equal for equal. Whoever gives more or asks for more, that is usury (riba)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gold for silver is usury (riba) unless it is hand to hand; wheat for wheat is usury unless it is hand to hand; dates for dates are usury unless it is hand to hand; and barley for barley is usury unless it is hand to hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gold and silk are lawful for the women of my Ummah and unlawful for its men."
