"ذروني ما تركتكم فإنما هلك من كان قبلكم بكثرة سؤالهم واختلافهم على أنبيائهم فإذا أمرتكم بشيء فأتوا منه ما استطعتم وإذا نهيتكم عن شيء فدعوه "
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Leave me alone as long as I leave you alone (i.e. do not ask unnecessary questions), for those before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets. So when I command you to do something, do as much of it as you are able, and when I forbid you from something, leave it."
