Hadith Beginning with the Letter Ra (ر)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"It may be that the share of one who stands (in prayer) from his standing is only wakefulness, and it may be that the share of a fasting person from his fast is only hunger and thirst."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on my brother Yusuf. Had the messenger come to me after such a long imprisonment, I would have responded at once, when he said: 'Go back to your king and ask him: what was the matter with the women (who cut their hands)?'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on a person who spoke and gained benefit, or remained silent and stayed safe."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on a person who prays four rak'ahs before Asr."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on a man who gets up at night and prays, and wakes his wife so that she prays too; and if she refuses, he sprinkles water on her face. And may Allah have mercy on a woman who gets up at night and prays, and wakes her husband so that he prays too; and if he refuses, she sprinkles water on his face."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on a servant who is lenient when he sells, lenient when he buys, lenient when he repays a debt, and lenient also when he demands repayment of a debt."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on a servant who spoke good and so gained benefit, or kept silent from evil and so remained safe."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on a servant who spoke and so gained benefit, or kept silent and so remained safe."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on so-and-so; he has reminded me of such-and-such verses which I had left out from such-and-such a surah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on Lut (peace be upon him); he used to take refuge in a strong support. And whatever prophet Allah sent after him, He sent him only with a strong clan (support) among his people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on Musa (peace be upon him); he was hurt with more than this, and he was patient."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May the mercy of Allah be upon us and upon Musa (peace be upon him). Had he been patient, he would have seen wondrous things from his companion (Khidr, peace be upon him)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do not turn away the one who asks (empty-handed), even if it is only with a burnt hoof."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Return the martyrs to their (original) resting places (graves)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man's sending a messenger to someone (to announce his coming) is itself his asking for permission."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Close up your rows, bring them near to one another and keep your necks level. By the One in whose Hand is my soul! I see the devils entering through the gaps in the rows just like small lambs."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and the displeasure of the Lord lies in the displeasure of the father."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the parents, and His displeasure lies in the displeasure of them both."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Her (the virgin girl's) consent is her silence."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I am pleased for my Ummah with whatever Ibn Umm Abd (Abdullah bin Mas'ud) is pleased with for it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May the nose of that man be rubbed in the dust (in disgrace) in whose presence I was mentioned and he did not send blessings upon me; may the nose of that man be rubbed in the dust upon whom Ramadan came and then passed before he was forgiven; and may the nose of that man be rubbed in the dust whose parents reached old age in his presence and yet they did not cause him to enter Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May he be disgraced, may he be disgraced, may he be disgraced: the one whose parents, or one of them, reach old age in his presence, and yet he does not (by serving them) enter Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Pen has been lifted from three: from the insane person who is deprived of his reason until he recovers, from the sleeper until he wakes up, and from the child until he reaches puberty."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Pen has been lifted from three: from the sleeper until he wakes up, from the afflicted person until he recovers, and from the child until he grows up."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Pen has been lifted from three: from the sleeper until he wakes up, from the child until he grows into youth, and from the insane person until he comes to his senses."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"(The sin of) mistakes, forgetfulness and whatever they are compelled to do has been pardoned for my Ummah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I was taken up to Sidrat al-Muntaha (the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary), whose furthest reach is in the seventh heaven. Its fruits were like the (large) jars of Hajar and its leaves were like the ears of elephants. There were four rivers there, two outward and two hidden. The two outward rivers were the Nile and the Euphrates, and the two hidden ones were two rivers of Paradise. And three vessels were brought to me: one containing milk, one containing honey and one containing wine. I took the vessel with milk and drank, and it was said to me: 'You have attained the fitrah (natural disposition), you and your Ummah.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The two (Sunnah) rak'ahs of Fajr are better than the world and everything in it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Two light rak'ahs, which you regard as insignificant and merely voluntary, that this person adds to his deeds, are more beloved to him than the rest of your world."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Ramadan is a blessed month. In it the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained, and every night a caller calls out: 'O seeker of good, come forward! And O seeker of evil, desist!'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Children of Isma'il! Learn archery, for your father (Isma'il, peace be upon him) was an archer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Going to the Friday prayer is obligatory upon every adult."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Those who show mercy, the Most Merciful, the Blessed and Exalted, shows mercy to them. Show mercy to those on the earth, and the One above the heaven will show mercy to you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The rider should stay behind the funeral procession, the one walking may walk wherever he wishes around it, and the funeral prayer is to be offered for a child."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A lone rider is a devil, two riders are (also) two devils, and three riders are a caravan."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The rider should travel behind the funeral procession, and the one walking may walk behind it, in front of it, and on its right and its left, close to it. The funeral prayer should be offered for a miscarried child, and supplication should be made for his parents for forgiveness and mercy."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The good dream of a righteous man is one of forty-six parts of prophethood."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A good dream is glad tidings which the believer sees himself, or which is seen for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A righteous dream is one of twenty-five parts of prophethood."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A righteous dream is one of seventy parts of prophethood."
