«رباط يوم في سبيل الله أفضل من صيام شهر وقيامه ومن مات فيه وقي فتنة القبر ونما له عمله إلى يوم القيامة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Guarding the frontier for one day in the path of Allah is more excellent than fasting for a month and standing (in night prayer) during it. Whoever dies while doing so is protected from the trial of the grave, and his deeds continue to grow until the Day of Resurrection."
