The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty does not accept charity from stolen war booty, nor does He accept prayer without purification."

Abu Al-Sha’tha’ says that once, during one of the middle days of Tashreeq, we were present in the company of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). After a short while, food was brought and people gathered close together, but one of his sons sat aside. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said to him: Come forward and eat the food. He replied: I am fasting. He said: Do you not know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These are days of eating, drinking, and remembrance (of Allah).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that whoever prays at the beginning of the night should make his last prayer of the night the Witr, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to instruct this.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he once saw Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) in a dream. He said: I saw that I was drawing water from a well with a bucket. In the meantime, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came and he drew one or two buckets, but there was some weakness in it. May Allah forgive him. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) drew water, and the bucket became a large bucket in his hand. I have not seen any outstanding person drawing water as he did, until he gave water to the people to their fill.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade «قزع», and the meaning of «قزع» is that when shaving a child's hair, some of the hair is cut and some is left.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "For one of you to have his stomach filled with vomit is better than to have it filled with poetry."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to turn the stone of his ring towards the palm of his hand.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Once I saw in a dream, near the Ka'bah, a man of wheat-colored complexion and straight hair, who had placed his hand on two men. Water drops were falling from his head. I asked, 'Who is this?' It was made known to me that he is Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him). Then behind him, I saw a man with red complexion, curly hair, blind in the right eye, and, according to my sight, extremely resembling Ibn Qatan. I asked, 'Who is this?' It was made known to me that he is the Masih Dajjal."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a silk garment being sold, so he said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "If you were to buy it, you could wear it before delegations." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This is worn by the one who has no share in the Hereafter." A few days later, some silk garments came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from somewhere, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent one of those garments to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "You yourself said about this what I heard, and now you have sent me this silk garment?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I have sent it to you so that you may sell it and use its price for yourself, or make headscarves for your family from it." Similarly, Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing that silk garment, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I did not send it to you to wear; I sent it so that you may sell it." I do not know whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) or not, "Make headscarves for your family from it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing a silk garment. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him, he said, "You are the one who made me wear it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tear it and distribute it as head coverings among your women, or fulfill your need with it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) point with his hand towards the east and say three times: "The trial will emerge from here, from where the horn of Satan will emerge."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "The month is of twenty-nine days."

Abdur Rahman bin Sa’d (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he used to offer voluntary prayers on his mount, regardless of which direction it was facing. I once asked him about this, so he said that I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) doing it in this manner.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed raml (brisk walking) in the first three circuits of tawaf from the Black Stone to the Black Stone, and in the remaining four circuits, he walked at his normal pace.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the Battle of Uhud, the women of the Ansar began to weep over their martyred husbands. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is there no one to weep for Hamza?" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell asleep, and when he woke up, those women were still weeping in the same way. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Today, they will keep weeping by mentioning the name of Hamza."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to send punishment upon a people, then the punishment descends upon all the inhabitants there; then they will be resurrected according to their deeds (in the punishment, all—righteous and wicked—will be included, but reward and punishment will be according to deeds)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) touching the Black Stone, so I will continue to touch it regardless of any hardship or ease.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The night prayer is offered in sets of two rak'ahs. When the time of dawn approaches, then add one rak'ah to them and perform witr."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I have seen, in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), people were beaten for buying grain by estimation and then selling it to someone else at the same place while still standing there, until they had taken it to their own tent.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command us to perform short prayers, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself, while leading us in prayer, would suffice with (a few verses) from Surah As-Saffat.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you lower your dead into the grave, say «بسم الله وعلي ملة رسول الله»."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one day I climbed onto the roof of my house and saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting facing towards Syria on two bricks, relieving himself.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Maghrib prayer is the witr of the day, so you should also perform the witr of the night."

Abdullah bin Muqdam (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) walking at a normal pace between Safa and Marwah during Sa'i, so I asked him, "O Abu Abdur Rahman! Why are you not walking quickly?" He replied, "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) both increased his pace here and did not increase it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Do not perform the same prayer twice in one day.

It is narrated from Saeed bin Musayyib, may Allah have mercy on him, that I heard Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, saying near the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that once a delegation of Banu Abdul Qais came with their leader. They asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about drinks. The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade them from (drinking from) Hantam, Dubba, and Naqir.

Bakr says that once I mentioned to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us this hadith that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had assumed ihram for both Hajj and Umrah? He replied that Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) is mistaken; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) initially assumed ihram for Hajj, and we also assumed ihram for Hajj with him. Then when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Makkah, he said: "Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him should make it Umrah." And since the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a sacrificial animal with him, he did not end his ihram.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there are four phrases which I have received from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and they are: "Here I am, O Allah! Here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. All praise and all blessings are for You, and the sovereignty is also Yours. You have no partner."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the buying and selling of fruit before it ripens. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by the fruit ripening? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the risk of spoilage is gone from it and the good fruit becomes distinct."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (on the occasion of the Battle of Khaybar) allotted three shares to a man and his horse, of which one share was for the man and two shares were for the horse.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I know of a tree whose blessing is like that of a Muslim man; it is the date palm tree."

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to offer voluntary prayers on his mount, regardless of which direction it was facing, and he used to say that he had seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) doing the same, and in support of this he used to present this verse «وحيث ماكنتم فولوا وجوهكم».

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, once held my garment or a part of my body and said: "O Abdullah! Live in this world as if you are a traveler or a passerby, and count yourself among the dead."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A Muhrim (one in the state of Ihram) cannot wear a shirt, trousers, turban, or socks, except if he does not find shoes. Whoever does not find shoes should cut the socks below the ankles and wear them. Similarly, a cap or any cloth upon which wars (a type of grass) or saffron has been applied, a Muhrim cannot wear that either, except if it has been washed."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the lizard. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not eat it, nor do I forbid it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any person comes for Jumu'ah, he should come after performing ghusl (ritual bath)."

Abdullah bin Maqdam (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) walking at a normal pace between Safa and Marwah during Sa'i, so I asked him: O Abu Abdur Rahman! Why are you not walking fast? He replied: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sometimes walked fast here and sometimes did not.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you abandon jihad, become occupied with holding the tails of cows, and become engrossed in buying fine and luxurious things, then Allah will send calamities upon you, and He will not remove them until you repent and return to your religion."
