It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray in sets of two rak‘ahs, then in the last part of the night he would add one rak‘ah to them and thus perform (three) witr.

He admitted to drinking wine made from raisins and dates. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed the legal punishment for him and forbade combining the two (raisins and dates in making wine). Also, a man made an advance sale (salam) for dates on another man's trees, but that year the trees bore no fruit. When he wanted to take his money back, the other refused. The man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who asked the owner of the trees: 'Did your trees not bear fruit?' He replied, 'No.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Then why are you withholding his money?' So he returned his money to him. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade advance sale (salam) in fruits until they ripen."
