Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abd al-Rahman! The world is sweet and green, and Allah Almighty has made you His vicegerents in it, so that He may make manifest how you act. Beware! Guard yourselves against the world, and guard yourselves against women."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Salih bin Shu'ayb al-Qasmali, and the rest of the narrators of one of its chains have been declared trustworthy.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The world is sweet and green. Whoever acquires it by its right will be blessed in it, and many are the seekers of their desires who, on the Day of Resurrection, will receive nothing but the Fire."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Woe, through the punishment of Hell on the Day of Resurrection, to those who wrongfully covet the wealth of Allah Almighty and the wealth of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Isma'il bin Muslim al-Makki, who is da'if (weak).

Whoever takes it (the narrator Yahya said: my teacher mentioned some further words, but I do not know what they were) will be blessed in it. And there are some who wrongfully covet the wealth of Allah Almighty and the wealth of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him); on the Day of Resurrection they will receive the Fire." The chain of this narration is hasan (good).

Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the world is sweet and green. Whoever practises piety with regard to it and keeps it in good order (perhaps some words were not transmitted in the original text). Beware! His example is like that of an eater who is never satisfied. The distance between people is as great as the distance between two stars, one of which rises in the east and the other sets in the west."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in a greatly abridged form; its chain contains al-Muthanna bin al-Sabbah, who is da'if (weak).

And there are some who wrongfully seek the wealth of Allah Almighty and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him); on the Day of Resurrection they will receive Hell, when they come into His presence."
