Reports on grey hair and dyeing

Al-Ayzar bin Hurayth narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Imam Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) dyeing with henna and katam.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dyes with black, Allah Almighty will blacken his face on the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Wadin bin Ata', whom Ahmad, Yahya bin Ma'in and Ibn Hibban declared trustworthy, and those of lower rank than them declared him weak. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Yellow is the dye of the believer, red is the dye of the Muslim, and black is the dye of the disbeliever."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.

Isma'il bin Abi Khalid narrates: Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dye his head with henna.
Al-Tabarani recorded it through various routes, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Isma'il bin Abi Khalid narrates: Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dye his beard with wars.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Khalid bin Uqbah, who is thiqah (trustworthy).

Uthman bin Ubaydullah narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) dyeing with yellow. He took part in the Pledge of Aqabah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. The narrator Uthman was mentioned by Ibn Abi Hatim; he is Uthman bin Ubaydullah bin Abi Rafi', and no one has criticised him. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

Umar bin Abi Za'idah narrates: I saw Hakim bin Jabir, and he had dyed with yellow. The narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

Abd al-Malik bin Umayr narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) dyeing with yellow and saffron.
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains; the narrators of one of them are the narrators of the Sahih.

Uthman bin Ubaydullah bin Abi Rafi' narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) dyeing with yellow.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned the narrator Uthman and did not declare him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

Uthman bin Abdullah bin Suraqah narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyiduna Abu Usayd (may Allah be pleased with him) passing by us while we were at the kuttab (elementary school). We noticed the scent of ambergris from them, and they had dyed their beards yellow.

Ammar bin Abi Ammar narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) dyeing with henna and katam.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Isma'il bin Abi Khalid narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him); he had applied henna to his beard.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Muhammad bin Ishaq narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dye with henna.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. The narrator Ibn Ishaq did not live in the time of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
