The saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the ruin of my Ummah will be at the hands of foolish youths from Quraysh

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said to Marwan bin al-Hakam: My beloved, Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), the truthful and the one confirmed as truthful, informed me: "The ruin of my Ummah will be at the hands of some foolish young men of Quraysh."
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. And Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman has testified to the authenticity of this hadith.

It is narrated from Amr bin Hanzalah that when Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, we went to Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) while people were present there. He said: "By Allah! The oppressors of the tribe of Mudar will not leave any believing servant of Allah without killing him or putting him to trial, until Allah and the believers strike them down so thoroughly that they will not be able to defend even the lower end of a watercourse (or an insignificant place)." A man said: "You say this even though you yourself are one of Mudar?" He replied: "I say only what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Barzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Indeed, that man who is in Sham (meaning Marwan), by Allah, is fighting only for this world; and that man who is in Makkah (meaning Ibn al-Zubayr), by Allah, he too is fighting only for this world; and those whom you call your reciters (the pious), by Allah, they too are fighting only for this world." (Abu al-Minhal's) father asked him: "Then what do you command us to do at this time?" He said: "In my view, the best of people is a group that clings to the ground in seclusion (and he gestured with his hand), whose stomachs are empty of people's wealth and whose backs are light of (the burden of) shedding their blood."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said to a man who was asking him about fighting alongside al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf or Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him): "Whichever of the two groups you fight alongside and get killed, your abode will be in the blazing Fire (laza, Hell)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Khaythamah bin Abd al-Rahman that he said: We were with Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), and one of us said: "O Abu Abdullah! Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." He said: "If I were to do so, you would stone me." We said: "Subhan Allah! Would we do such a thing?" He said: "Tell me, if I were to tell you that some of your mothers will come against you with an army great in number and severe in might, would you believe it?" The people said: "Subhan Allah! Who could believe such a thing?" Then Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The red ones (the non-Arab slaves of Banu Umayyah) will come to you in a troop whose powerful slaves will drive it wherever your faces are turned (i.e. they will overpower you)." Then he got up and went into his room.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Abu Idris al-Khawlani that he heard Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "By Allah! I am the most knowledgeable of people about every trial that will occur until the Hour. That is not because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told me something specially that he did not tell others; rather, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was speaking about the trials in a gathering in which I was present, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was enumerating the trials and said: 'Among them are three that will not leave anything; they will be like the summer windstorms; some of them small and some of them great.'" Then (Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said:) All the members of that gathering have departed (passed away) except me (so I am the only one left who knows these matters).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it!
