It is narrated from Khaythamah bin Abd al-Rahman that he said: We were with Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), and one of us said: "O Abu Abdullah! Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." He said: "If I were to do so, you would stone me." We said: "Subhan Allah! Would we do such a thing?" He said: "Tell me, if I were to tell you that some of your mothers will come against you with an army great in number and severe in might, would you believe it?" The people said: "Subhan Allah! Who could believe such a thing?" Then Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The red ones (the non-Arab slaves of Banu Umayyah) will come to you in a troop whose powerful slaves will drive it wherever your faces are turned (i.e. they will overpower you)." Then he got up and went into his room.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan" on account of "Hilal bin al-'Ala' al-Raqqi"; however, he was contradicted regarding the name of the narrator who narrates from Hudhayfah. Reference / Source: For al-Tabarani narrated it in "al-Awsat" (1154) via Ahmad bin Ishaq al-Khashshab, from 'Ubayd Allah bin 'Amr (al-Raqqi), from Zayd, from 'Amr, from Fulfulah al-Ju'fi, who said: We were with Hudhayfah … Technical note / Defect ('illah): This "Fulfulah" is one from whom a group narrated, including Khaythamah bin 'Abd al-Rahman, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat". His narration from Hudhayfah is more likely to be "mahfuz" (preserved) than that of Khaythamah. Note / Clarification: "Al-Hamra'" refers to 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her); she was called al-Hamra' and al-Humayra' because of her fair complexion. Al-Suyuti related in "al-Khasa'is al-Kubra" from al-Bayhaqi that he commented on this report of Hudhayfah, saying: "Hudhayfah gave this news, and he died before 'A'ishah set out (for the Battle of the Camel)." (However,) we did not find this statement of al-Bayhaqi in any of his books.
