It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said to Marwan bin al-Hakam: My beloved, Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), the truthful and the one confirmed as truthful, informed me: "The ruin of my Ummah will be at the hands of some foolish young men of Quraysh."
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. And Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman has testified to the authenticity of this hadith.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is "sahih", and this chain can possibly be graded hasan on account of "Malik bin Zalim". Although no one narrated from him except Simak bin Harb, he is a Tabi'i; Imam al-Bukhari mentioned him in "al-Tarikh" and Ibn Abi Hatim in "al-Jarh wa-l-Ta'dil", and they recorded neither criticism nor praise of him; Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat" and included this hadith of his in his "Sahih"; and he has also been corroborated. Technical note / Defect ('illah): As for "Ibn Awramah", he (although he is not known) is not alone in this narration from Sufyan al-Thawri (rather, there is corroboration). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: For Imam Ahmad (13/ 7871) narrated it from Zayd bin al-Hubab, and (8033) from 'Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi, and Ibn Hibban (6713) via the route of 'Isam bin Yazid; all three of them narrate it from Sufyan al-Thawri with this same chain. Technical note / Defect ('illah): However, 'Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi (mistakenly) named the narrator who narrates from Abu Hurayrah as "'Abd Allah bin Zalim", which is his "wahm" (error). Details of the narration: This narration will come with the author later at no. (8819) via the route of Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan and 'Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi from Sufyan. Details of the narration: And it will also come with the author at no. (8818) via the route of Shu'bah from Simak bin Harb. Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i narrated it in "al-Sunan al-Kubra" (Book of Trials) (as found in Ibn Hajar's "al-Nukat al-Ziraf", 14340), and Ibn Hibban in "al-Thiqat" (5/ 387-388) via Abu 'Awanah al-Yashkuri from Simak bin Harb. Reference / Source: Also Ahmad (14/ 8304) and al-Bukhari (3605, 7058) narrated it via the route of Sa'id bin 'Amr bin Sa'id bin al-'As al-Umawi, Ahmad (16/ 10737, 10927) via the route of Yazid bin Sharik, and Ibn Hibban (6712) via the route of Abu Salih al-Samman; all three of them narrate it from Abu Hurayrah. Details of the narration: It will come with the author later at no. (8686) via the route of 'Ammar bin Abi 'Ammar from Abu Hurayrah.
