Death will be slaughtered on the Sirat

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: Shall I not tell you of something greater than this? They will say: Yes indeed, what is greater than this? Allah will say: My good pleasure."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, death will be brought in the form of a black-and-white ram. Then it will be called out: O people of Paradise! And they will look out in fear and dread that they might be removed from where they are. They will be asked: Do you recognise this? They will say: Yes, this is death. Then it will be called out: O people of Hell! And they will look out with joy and hope that perhaps they will be taken out of this (punishment). They will be asked: Do you recognise this? They will say: Yes, this is death. Then a command will be given concerning it, and it will be slaughtered upon the Sirat (the Bridge). And it will be said to both groups: Now you will remain forever in the state you are in; there will never again be death after this."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, because Yazid bin Harun is reliable and he narrated it as marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) in all his narrations, whereas al-Fadl bin Musa al-Sinani and Abd al-Wahhab bin Abd al-Majid narrated it from Muhammad bin Amr as mawquf (stopping at the Companion).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the Day of Resurrection death will be brought; then he mentioned the same as the previous hadith (as mawquf).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he narrated this same hadith as mawquf.
The two Shaykhs (Imam Bukhari and Muslim) agreed on recording this hadith, in other words than these, through the narration of al-A'mash by way of Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Amr bin Maymun al-Awdi that Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) stood among us and said: O Banu Awd! I am the envoy of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Know this! The return to Allah is true, then from there the abode is either Paradise or Hell. There, it will be a residence from which there is no departing, and an eternity in which death will not come, in bodies that will never perish.
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic) and its narrators are Makkans. Muslim bin Khalid al-Zanji is the Imam and Mufti of the people of Makkah; however, the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) expressed the view about him that hadith was not his particular field. And Allah knows best.
