أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ عِشْرُونَ وَمِائَةُ صَفٍّ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةُ مِنْهَا ثَمَانُونَ صَفًّا

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا محمد بن فُضَيل، حدثنا أبو سِنَان (2) ضِرَار بن مُرَّة، عن محارِب بن دِثَار، عن ابن بُرَيدة، عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "أهلُ الجنة عشرون ومئةُ صَفٍّ، هذه الأُمَّة منها ثمانون صفًّا" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وله شاهد من حديث سفيان الثَّوْري عن علقمة بن مَرثَد عن سليمان بن بُريدة عن أبيه:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Paradise will be in one hundred and twenty rows, of which eighty rows will be of this Ummah alone."

أخبرَناه أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا أَسِيد بن عاصم، حدثنا الحسين بن حفص، عن سفيان. وحدثنا أبو علي الحافظ، أخبرنا عَبْدانُ الأَهْوازي، حدثنا الحسن بن الحارث، حدثنا مُؤمَّل بن إسماعيل، حدثنا سفيان. وأخبرنا بكر بن محمد الصَّيرَفي، حدثنا محمد بن غالب، حدثنا عبد الله بن عمر، حدثنا عمرو بن محمد العَنقَزي، عن سفيان، عن عَلْقمة بن مَرثَد، عن سليمان بن بُرَيدة، عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "أهلُ الجنة عشرون ومئةُ صفٍّ، ثمانون منها من هذه الأُمَّة" (1). أرسله يحيى بن سعيد وعبد الرحمن بن مَهْدي عن الثَّوري (2). وقد رواه الحارث بن حَصِيرة، عن القاسم بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه:

It also has a shahid (supporting narration) in the narration of Sufyan al-Thawri from Alqamah bin Marthad, which Yahya bin Sa'id and Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi narrated from al-Thawri as mursal (without the Companion).

أخبرَناه أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا مسدَّد، حدثنا عبد الواحد بن زياد، حدثنا الحارث بن حَصِيرة، عن القاسم بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبيه (3)، عن عبد الله بن مسعود قال: قال لنا رسول الله ﷺ ونحن حولَه: "كيف أنتم رُبعَ أهل الجنة، لكم الربعُ ولسائر الأمم ثلاثةُ أرباعٍ" قال: قلنا: كثيرٌ يا رسول الله، قال: "كيف أنتم والثلثَ؟ " قال: قلنا: ذلك أكثرُ، قال: "كيف أنتم والشَّطْرَ؟ " قلنا: ذاك أكثرُ، قال: "أهلُ الجنة عشرون ومئةُ صفٍّ، أنتم منها ثمانون صفًّا" قال: قلنا: فذاكَ الثُّلثانِ يا رسول الله، قال: "أجَلْ" (1). عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن مسعود لم يسمع من أبيه في أكثر الأقاويل (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us while we were gathered around him: "Are you not pleased to be a quarter of the people of Paradise? For you is a quarter, and for all the other nations three quarters." We said: O Messenger of Allah! That is a lot. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you think of being a third?" We said: That is even more. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you think of being half?" We said: That is much more. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Paradise will be in one hundred and twenty rows, and you will be eighty rows of them." We said: O Messenger of Allah! That makes two thirds. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! (It is so)."

أخبرني أبو قُتيبة سَلْم بن الفضل الأَدَمي بمكة، حدثنا موسى بن هارون، حدثنا سَلَمة بن شَبِيب، حدثنا الفِرْيابي، حدثنا سفيان الثَّوري، عن محمد بن المنكَدِر، عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إذا دَخَلَ أهلُ الجنةِ الجنةَ، قال: يقول الله ﷿: هل تشتهونَ شيئًا فأَزِيدَكم؟ فيقولون: ربَّنا وما فوقَ ما أعطيتَنا؟ قال: يقول: رِضْواني أكبَرُ" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد تابع الأشجعيُّ محمدَ بنَ يوسف الفِرْيابي على إسناده ومتنه:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: Do you desire anything, so that I may give you more? They will say: O our Lord! What could be greater than what You have given us? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah will say: My good pleasure (Ridwan) is the greatest."
