It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a hundred verses in a night will not be counted among the heedless; whoever recites two hundred verses will be written among Allah's most obedient and devout servants; and whoever recites from five hundred up to a thousand verses, by morning a qintar (a vast store) of reward will be established for him, a single qirat of which will be like a great, lofty hill."
The chain of this hadith is da'if (weak).
Imam Abu Bakr and Ibn Abi Umar through Waki', Abd bin Humayd through Ubaydullah bin Musa, and Imam Abu Ya'la through Abu Khaythamah, all of them by way of Musa bin Ubaydah, Muhammad bin Ibrahim, Yuhannas and Umm al-Darda', narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) in marfu' form something of the same meaning: that whoever recites from five hundred to a thousand verses in a night will have a qintar of reward.

It is narrated from Imam al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a hundred verses in a single night, the Qur'an will not argue against him or call him to account (on the Day of Resurrection); whoever recites two hundred verses, Allah Almighty writes for him the reward of a whole night's worship and devotion; and whoever recites from a hundred up to a thousand verses, by morning a qintar (a vast store of reward) will have been established for him, and a qintar is equal to the full blood money (diyah) of one of you, that is, twelve thousand (dirhams or dinars)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "Indeed, the house most empty and desolate of goodness and blessing is the house in which the Noble Qur'an is not recited."
Imam al-Harith bin Abi Usamah recorded this hadith in his Musnad.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a thousand verses (in the night prayer), Allah Almighty writes for him a qintar (a vast store of reward); a qintar equals a hundred ratl, a ratl is twelve uqiyah, an uqiyah is six dinars, a dinar is twenty-four qirat, and a qirat is like (the mountain of) Uhud (in greatness). And whoever recites three hundred verses, Allah Almighty addresses His angels and says: 'O My angels, I have put My servant to toil (for the sake of worship); I take you as witnesses, O My angels, that I have certainly forgiven him.' And whoever receives from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, (news of) the virtue of a deed, and then acts upon it with faith and in hope of its reward, Allah Almighty will grant him that reward, even if it (the report of that virtue) is not so (in terms of authenticity)."
Its chain is da'if (weak); Abu Ya'la recorded it in his Musnad (3474), and its chain contains Bakr bin Yunus bin Bukayr, who is da'if (weak) according to the Imams. The hadith has supporting narrations (shawahid) regarding the virtue of the qintar and the recitation of the Qur'an, and the final sentence has supporting narrations in the hadiths of "Whoever receives from Allah (news of) a virtue".

Sayyiduna Buraydah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, the Qur'an will meet its companion on the Day of Resurrection when his grave splits open, coming in the form of a man whose complexion has changed (or who is worn and pale). It will say: 'Do you recognise me?' The man will reply: 'I do not recognise you.' The Qur'an will say: 'I am your companion, the Qur'an, who kept you thirsty in the intense midday heat and kept your nights awake (in worship). In truth every trader looks to the profit of his trade, and today you are the one who gains beyond every trader.'" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then sovereignty will be given in his right hand and eternity in his left, the crown of dignity will be placed on his head, and his parents will be clothed in two precious garments whose value the people of the world together could not pay. They will both ask (in astonishment): 'For what reason have we been clothed in these garments?' It will be said: 'Because of your son's taking up the Qur'an (reciting it and acting upon it).' Then it will be said to him: 'Recite and ascend through the levels of Paradise and its lofty chambers.' So he will keep ascending for as long as he recites, whether he recites quickly or slowly and melodiously (with tartil)."
Its chain is hasan (good); Imam Ibn Majah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated this hadith from its beginning up to the words "and kept your nights awake"
This hadith is of hasan (good) grade.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The first (heavenly) Book used to be revealed through a single gate upon a single harf (mode), whereas the Noble Qur'an was revealed through seven gates upon seven ahruf (kinds): restraining, commanding, lawful, unlawful, decisive (muhkam), ambiguous (mutashabih) and parables. So regard as lawful what it makes lawful, declare unlawful what it makes unlawful, carry out what you have been commanded, refrain from what you have been forbidden, take lessons from its parables, act upon its decisive verses, believe in its ambiguous verses, and say: 'We believe in it; all of it is from our Lord' [Surah Al Imran: 7]."
Imam al-Bazzar narrated with his chain from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the Qur'an was revealed upon seven ahruf; each harf has an outer (zahr, its apparent aspect) and an inner (batn, its hidden aspect)."
Imam al-Bazzar said that no one narrated it from the narrator named al-Hajari except Ibn Ajlan, and no one narrated it in this way except al-Hajari.
Imam Abu Ya'la also narrated something similar with another chain.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us while we were reciting the Noble Qur'an and teaching one another to recite it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Al-hamdu lillah (All praise belongs to Allah). The Book of Allah is one, and among you are the best of the Ummah, as well as the red and the black, that is, people of every colour and race. Keep reciting the Qur'an before there comes a people who will straighten the letters of the Qur'an with extreme affectation, just as an arrow is straightened, yet it will not go down past their throats; they will hasten to obtain worldly gain and payment for its recitation and will not seek its reward in the Hereafter."
