Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Aishah, if you have committed a sin, then seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty, for repentance from sin is to feel remorse and to seek forgiveness."
Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: Part of the beginning of this narration is mentioned in the Sahih.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Muhammad bin Yazid al-Wasiti, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Amr bin Malik al-Ruwasi, whom more than one scholar declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy) and said: He narrates unusual (gharib) reports and makes mistakes. The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever commits a sin and then feels remorse, Allah Almighty forgives him that sin before he even seeks forgiveness; and whoever Allah Almighty grants a blessing and he knows (that is, believes) that the blessing is from Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty records for him the gratitude for that blessing before he has praised Allah Almighty for it; and whoever Allah Almighty gives a garment to wear and he knows that it is Allah Almighty who gave it to him to wear, he is forgiven before the garment reaches his knees."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat with two chains; one of them contains Bazi' bin Hassan Abu al-Khalil and the other contains Sulayman bin Dawud al-Minqari, and both are da'if (weak).
