وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا ، وَفِيهِمْ خِلَافٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Remorse is repentance."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy, though there is disagreement about them.
