Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some grain which its owner had arranged attractively. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his blessed hand into it, and there was some bad grain in it as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sell this separately and sell this separately, for whoever cheats us (or deceives us) is not one of us."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Ma'shar, and he is saduq (truthful), though a group (of scholars) declared him da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abu Burdah bin Niyar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were walking with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) towards "Baqi' al-Musalla". The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his blessed hand into some grain, then took it out, and it was adulterated (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) it was of mixed kinds. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is not one of us who deceives us."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it, and al-Bazzar recorded it in abridged form. Its chain contains a narrator, Jumay' bin Umayr, whom Abu Hatim declared thiqah (trustworthy), while al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and others called him da'if (weak).

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever deceives us is not one of us."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is not one of us who deceives us."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin Uqbah bin Abi al-Ghayzar, and according to one view he used to fabricate hadith.

Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). A narrator named Qays bin al-Rabi' has been criticised; Shu'bah and al-Thawri declared him thiqah (trustworthy).

He put his blessed hand into it, and his hand reached grain that was wet, which the rain had fallen on. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the owner of the grain, "Why have you done this?" He replied, "By the One who sent you with the truth, it is one and the same grain." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then why did you not keep the wet apart and the dry apart, so that people would buy it knowing what it is? Whoever deceives us is not one of us."

It is reported from one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to forbid a (certain kind of) sale. The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! This is our means of livelihood." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then there is to be no deception." After that, the narrator mentioned the hadith as before.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
