It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter; and even if he enters Paradise, the people of Paradise will wear it, but he (who wore it in this world) will not wear it."
This hadith is sahih (authentic), and these words (of the hadith) explain the hidden defect and meaning of those abridged hadiths which say that whoever wears it will not enter Paradise.
