The etiquette of riding

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Las al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us some weak camels from the camels of charity (sadaqah) for Hajj. We said: "O Messenger of Allah! We do not think these can carry us." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the hump of every camel there is a devil, so when you mount them, mention the name of Allah as you have been commanded, then put them to work for yourselves, for in reality it is Allah who carries."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it. It also has a sahih supporting narration (shahid).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who was one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ride these animals while they are sound, leave them while they are still sound, and do not make them into chairs (that is, do not keep sitting on their backs without need)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hamzah bin Amr al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the back of every camel there is a devil, so when you mount them, mention the name of Allah, and do not fall short in fulfilling your need."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it. It also has a supporting narration (shahid) on his condition.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, on the hump of every camel there is a devil, so put them to use by riding them, for the One who carries is none other than Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
