Musnad Ahmad

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (on the day after Yawm al-Nahr, the eleventh of Dhul-Hijjah, while he was still in Mina): "Tomorrow (InshaAllah) we will camp at Khayf Bani Kinana, where the Quraysh had sworn oaths of disbelief."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) once came to Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) and Farooq Azam (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask for the inheritance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so both of them said: We heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "My inheritance will not be distributed from my wealth."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That Muslim will not be gathered in Hell with another in such a way as to be harmful to anyone who kills a disbeliever and then adopts the straight path.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person is asked about any matter of knowledge and he conceals it without reason, then on the Day of Resurrection a bridle of fire will be put in his mouth.

Narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a person who participates in a gathering and hears words of wisdom there, but conveys only the wrong things from it to his companion, is like the person who comes to a shepherd and says, "O shepherd! Slaughter a goat for me from your flock." The shepherd replies, "Go and bring the ear of the best one among them," and he goes and brings the ear of the flock's dog.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the occasion of the Night of Ascension (Mi'raj), when we reached the seventh heaven, my gaze was lifted upwards and there was thunder, lightning, and roaring clouds. Then I came upon a people whose bellies were like rooms, in which snakes and the like could be seen from outside their bellies. I asked, "O Jibreel (peace be upon him), who are these people?" He replied, "These are the usurers (those who consume interest)." Then when I returned to the lowest heaven, my gaze fell downwards and there were screams, smoke, and voices to be heard. I asked, "O Jibreel, what is this?" He replied, "These are the devils who are throwing dust into the eyes of the children of Adam so that they do not reflect on the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. If it were not so, people would see great wonders."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The two sons of As ibn Wa'il, Hisham and Amr, are believers.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Both sons of Aas bin Wa'il (Hisham and Amr) are believers.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from poverty, scarcity, and humiliation, and from wronging anyone or being wronged by anyone.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The first row among the rows of men is the best, and the last row is the closest to evil; and among the rows of women, the last row is the best, and the first row is the closest to evil.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hospitality is for three days; whatever is beyond that is charity.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Abu Musa Ash'ari has been given a voice like that of Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, people will be gathered in three groups: one group will be those who walk on foot, one group will be those who ride, and one group will be those who walk on their faces. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How will people walk on their faces?" He replied: The One who makes them walk on their feet is surely able to make them walk on their faces as well. Therefore, they should protect their faces from every slippery place and thorn.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah created Paradise, He sent a message to Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) to go and see it. So Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) went and saw Paradise and the blessings prepared in it, and returned and said in the Divine Presence: "By Your honor, whoever hears about it will surely wish to enter it." Then, by Allah's command, it was covered with disliked and unpleasant things. Allah said: "Now go and see it and its blessings again." So he went again, and this time it was covered with unpleasant matters. He returned and said: "By Your honor, I fear that now no one will be able to enter it."

Similarly, when Allah created Hell, He said to Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him): "O Jibreel, go and see Hell and the punishments prepared for its inhabitants." When he reached there and saw it, he returned and said: "By Your honor, no person who hears about it will wish to enter it." Then, by Allah's command, it was covered with desires. This time Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) said: "By Your honor, I fear that now no one will be able to escape from it."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate in the morning: "O Allah, with Your name we have reached the morning, and with Your name we reach the evening, with Your name we live and die, and to You is the return."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "If a servant remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My heart. If he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than that."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a Muslim meets his Muslim brother or goes to visit the sick, Allah Almighty says: You have succeeded, your walking is very good, and you have made your abode in Paradise.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you put on clothes or perform ablution, start from the right side.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), our food consisted of only two black things: dates and water. By Allah, we had never seen your wheat nor did we know about it, and during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), our clothing used to be the sheets of the villagers.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Seek refuge with Allah from the decade of seventy and the rule of children.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is much better for a man's belly to be filled with pus until he is satisfied than for it to be filled with poetry.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was an eyewitness to the delegation of Banu Abdul Qais. When those people came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade them from drinking beverages in vessels called hantam, dubba, muzaffat, and naqir. Upon this, one of them stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah! People have no other vessels besides these." I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it seemed as if he felt sorry for the people. Then he said, "If these vessels are clean, then drink from them, and if they are dirty, then leave them."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a fly falls into the vessel of any one of you, then he should remember that in one wing of the fly there is healing and in the other there is disease. Therefore, he should fully dip the fly into it (using it is left to his discretion). The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sometimes a person utters a word and he does not realize that this word can reach such an extent, but on the Day of Resurrection, as a result of that single word, he will keep tumbling in Hell for seventy years.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever kills a lizard with the first strike will receive such and such rewards; whoever kills it with the second strike will receive such and such rewards; and whoever kills it with the third strike will receive such and such rewards. Suhail says that the number of rewards for the first time will be greater each time.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: O Abu Huraira! Shall I not teach you a word which is a treasure of Paradise and has come from beneath the Throne? I said: Certainly, may my parents be sacrificed for you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Say like this: La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.

Narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever Allah has given wealth and he does not pay its due, on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be turned into a bald snake with two fangs in its mouth, and it will pursue its owner until it takes his hand into its mouth and begins to chew it, and it will say, "I am your wealth, I am your treasure." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse: Those who are stingy with what Allah has given them out of His bounty should not think...

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan every year, and in the year in which he passed away, he observed i'tikaf for twenty days.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Those who lead you in prayer, if they perform it correctly, you will receive reward and so will they; and if they make a mistake, you will still receive reward and their sin will be upon them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you to do, do it to the best of your ability.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are two groups among the inhabitants of Hell whom I have not seen yet. One is women who will be clothed yet naked, who will incline towards men and make men incline towards them. On their heads will be things like the humps of Bactrian camels. These women will neither see Paradise nor smell its fragrance. The second group is men who will have whips like the tails of cows in their hands, with which they will beat people.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a wall that had leaned and was about to fall. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) quickened his pace. Someone asked the reason, so he said: I do not wish to die an unexpected death.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from dying due to grief or distress, from dying by drowning in the sea, from the attack of Satan at the time of death, and from dying due to the sting of any poisonous creature.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ajwa dates are dates from Paradise, and they are a cure for poison. And truffle is also a part of "manna" (which was sent down upon the Children of Israel), and its water is a cure for the eyes.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: That person is deprived who remained deprived of the spoils of the tribe of Kalb.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the women who commit unlawful acts in the graveyard.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the slave of any one of you commits theft, he should sell him, even if it is for a small price.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Trim your moustaches well and let your beards grow fully, and change the white color of your hair, but do not imitate the Jews and Christians.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have more right over the believers than their own selves, so whoever leaves behind a debt or children, it is my responsibility, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you is fasting on a certain day, he should not behave indecently nor act ignorantly. If someone behaves ignorantly towards him, he should say, "I am fasting."
