No discretionary punishment for people of dignity and honour and the like

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Overlook the wrongdoing of a generous person, for Allah Almighty takes him by the hand when he stumbles."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Bishr bin Ubaydullah al-Darisi, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Overlook the slips of people of standing (that is, forgive them)." Al-Tabarani recorded this narration from Muhammad bin Asim, from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Yazid al-Rifa'i, and I do not know either of them; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Refrain from punishing people of standing, except that the matter of one of the prescribed punishments of Allah Almighty is different (that is, in the case of a prescribed punishment he will be punished)."
(Al-Haythami says:) I say: After that he mentioned the complete hadith, which is found in full in the chapter on visiting graves.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains Muhammad bin Kathir bin Marwan al-Fihri, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Overlook the fault of a generous person, for whenever he stumbles, Allah Almighty takes him by the hand."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I bear witness concerning Allah Almighty that whenever an intelligent person stumbles, Allah Almighty raises him up; whenever he stumbles, Allah Almighty raises him up; whenever he stumbles, Allah Almighty raises him up, until Allah Almighty makes Paradise his final abode."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Overlook the slips of honourable people (that is, forgive them)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Prescribed punishments are not to be carried out in mosques."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains al-Waqidi, who is da'if (weak) because of his tadlis, but he has explicitly stated that he heard it, and he has also explicitly stated "he narrated to us".
