بَابُ لَا تَعْزِيرَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْمُرُوءَةِ وَالْكِرَامِ وَنَحْوِهِمَا
No discretionary punishment for people of dignity and honour and the like

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَيْضًا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَقِيلُوا ذَوِي الْهَيْئَاتِ زَلَّاتِهِمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الرِّفَاعِيِّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Overlook the slips of people of standing (that is, forgive them)." Al-Tabarani recorded this narration from Muhammad bin Asim, from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Yazid al-Rifa'i, and I do not know either of them; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
