بَابُ لَا تَعْزِيرَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْمُرُوءَةِ وَالْكِرَامِ وَنَحْوِهِمَا

وَعَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " تَجَافُوا عَنْ ذَنْبِ السَّخِيِّ ; فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ كُلَّمَا عَثَرَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Overlook the fault of a generous person, for whenever he stumbles, Allah Almighty takes him by the hand."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
