Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the owners of camels and the owners of sheep boasted to one another in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Pride and arrogance are found among the owners of camels, and tranquility and dignity among the owners of sheep." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "When Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) was sent as a prophet, he used to graze his family's sheep, and when I was sent, I too used to graze my family's sheep at a place called Jiyad."
Imam Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Hajjaj bin Artat, who is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain).

Wahb bin Kaysan narrates: My father passed by Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him). He asked: "Where are you going?" He replied: "To my sheep." Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "That is good. Wipe their noses, keep their resting place clean, and pray beside their resting place, for they are among the animals of Paradise. Keep close company with them, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'This is a land where little rain falls.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant Madinah.
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat in abridged form; the narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.

(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Ibn Majah has narrated from Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) a hadith other than this one.
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Musa bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Rabi'ah, and I do not know him.

Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came (to my house) and said: "Why is it that I do not see any of the blessings with you?" I said: "Which blessings do you mean?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has sent down three blessings: the sheep, the date palm and fire." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Ibn Majah has recorded these words from Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her): "Keep sheep, for there is blessing in them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and part of it is recorded in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, al-Nadr bin Humayd, who is matruk (abandoned).

The most beloved property to Allah Almighty is sheep. Hold to white, for Allah Almighty created Paradise white; let your living wear it, and shroud your dead in white. And the blood of a white sheep is greater in the sight of Allah Almighty than the blood of two black sheep." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Abu Dawud and others have recorded part of this narration, the part about white clothing.

Pray in their pens and wipe their rugham." The narrator says: I asked: "What is meant by rugham?" He replied: "The mucus of the nose."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, as a narration of Subayh from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and I have not found anyone who has given his biography.
