Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6252

Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came (to my house) and said: "Why is it that I do not see any of the blessings with you?" I said: "Which blessings do you mean?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has sent down three blessings: the sheep, the date palm and fire." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Ibn Majah has recorded these words from Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her): "Keep sheep, for there is blessing in them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and part of it is recorded in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, al-Nadr bin Humayd, who is matruk (abandoned).
